Great countertops for the DIY with experience
Nice countertops, but a lot of work to stain with Colour and then Clear Hardwood Wax oils. The Hardwood Wax oil was very hard to find - had to goto Interbuild directly. The quality is very good - recommend staining ALL counter tops at the same time to keep consistency of Stain across all counter tops (My Island is darker then the rest of the countertops, because I did it last). The description does state Finished but they definitely are not. I would buy again now knowing what to expect.

Real hard wood
The stain can be altered a bit with oil or other food safe stains. Vary nice product, good quality and price.

Turned out beautifully
We completely changed the color by sanding it down and using a brown hardwax oil. Love how it turned out but it's no longer grey

The countertop fits great and works great. I put four applications of butchers wax to help protect from stains and watermarks. The wax provides a deeper richer look to the beautiful gray coloring from the stain. When needed I would definitely order this again.

Product is pictured as having six surfaces, each stained in dusk grey. The product we purchased has additional surfaces. In some cases, the additional surface is a single plane; in others, the addition is more fractal in nature. None of the additional surfaces are stained but appear to be bare wood. We will be able to work with our contractor to restore the piece to six-surfaced but will obviously lost some material in the process. Fortunately, this is acceptable given our project parameters. If you need yours to be six-surfaced at the specified dimension, proceed with caution.

Interbuild is taking action to reduce shipping and handling damage with improved factory packaging. Because we are working with wood there is always a possibility there could be a splinter or an imperfection. Please keep in mind we put one coat only on our products. They still need to be sealed.
