Wouldnt recommend
Poor quality. Door had a screw hole in it from where they mount carry handles on the outside. Primed moulding had 1/4” gouges in it. Store wont do anything to make it right because i ordered online. Wouldnt recommend

NOT a standard 80" door.
Bought this door to replace an older slider. Chose this door because the description showed it being a 72"x80", among other reasons.
Well, the OUTSIDE of the frame is 80". Sill to brickmold is just under 78", and the door itself is 77"; 2-1/2" shorter than the 79.5" door height that the specs on Home Depot's site claim. The huge gap at the top when the installer set the door should have been a red flag. The door was installed, lots of filler boards and 4-1/2" trim made it look fine.

Not a bad product for the price point. I picked this up myself as opposed to having it delivered. With a teenager at home this worked out ok. For installation, again a second set of hands is a must a really the only way you would move the door as needed. Make sure to have a couple tubes of caulk, shims and at least 4” long screws for attachment within opening. I also used spray foam around the exterior gaps. All in all satisfied with the construction of the door. Note, handle and deadbolt NOT INCLUDED.

The installation was very straightforward and went great. It took two of us to move it and place it, once a couple nails were in, I was able to do all the adjustment and finish install by myself. I have a contractor friend who was very impressed with the door as well.

This is a very nice set of doors for the $475 price. Installs easily. Looks great once in. I am not a licensed carpenter. But was able to install it fairly easily with just one person helping. If you have to move it any distance at all--like up a flight of stairs--you would probably like to have an extra set of hands or two. It is somewhat heavy and not easy to grab hold of. The one word of dissatisfaction I would have is that the 2.5" screws that are required to secure the frame to the rough in were not provided. Actually, there were two attached to the glass. But that was it and, certainly, not enough. Might want to be sure that you have some extra screws on hand, just in case yours are not included.
Our door was installed in a very old bedroom that had no framing in place before we started. So, I had to do that, as well. That was actually better because I started out will all new studs and baseplate. You will want to pay particular attention before installing your door to the waterproofing of the base. Jeld-Wen suggests a pan assembly that Home Depot does not stock. So, you will want to order that in advance. Takes a two or three days to get it into the store. Also, there are some considerations relating to the pan that will impact the total amount of height, top to bottom that you will need to allow for your door. Ultimately, we chose to pass on the pan and used another method, understanding that we voided the warranty by doing so.
Lastly, I would watch as many YouTube tutorials on installing sliding glass or double French doors as you can bear to watch. They are very helpful, particularly in the area of waterproofing and base plates. Good luck.

French Patio Door
My personal contractor installed my 2 doors. No complaints, he is really pleased with how they look. We added the Harford Aged Bronzed lock to the doors. I'm really please with the doors.
