Product Details

PVC Schedule 40 Pipe is for pressure systems where temperatures will not exceed 140 deg F. PVC Schedule 40 is highly resilient, with high-tensile and high-impact strength. PVC Schedule 40 has better sound deadening qualities than PVC Schedule 40 DWV Foam Core and ABS Foam Core. Installation requires primer and solvent cement.
  • PVC Schedule 40 pipe is used in irrigation, underground sprinkler systems, swimming pools, outdoor applications and cold water supply lines
  • Pipe has a maximum working temperatures of up to 140° F
  • Intended for pressure use
  • Meets ASTM D 1784, ASTM D 1785 and NSF 14 and 61
  • Installation requires primer and solvent cement
  • Pipe is white in color

      A:  Under the Home Depot item "Specifications" tab it states, "Potable water" which means it can be used for drinking water.
