Hardie Trim Statement Collection Smooth Trim Board is a fiber cement trim with ColorPlus Technology designed to mimic the look of real wood trim with less maintenance, better wear and a long life. Board features ColorPlus Technology in Arctic White for a clean, bright finish. ColorPlus Technology is a baked on proprietary finish developed specifically for James Hardie that resists damage from UV rays, staying bright and vibrant longer. Hardie smooth trim board has no woodgrain texture providing a smooth, timeless look for trim areas on the home. Provides the natural character of wood trim with the durability of fiber cement. The Hardie trim board is Engineered for Climate and designed to hold up to the changing weather conditions in the environment where it is installed. Use for all trim applications including the band board of a siding wall, door trim, window trim and corners. Hardie Trim 5/4 boards also work to construct light blocks, column wraps and decorative scrolls. Noncombustible trim complies with ASTM E136, does not burn and will not attract insects and pests including woodpeckers and termites. Hardie Zone System formulated house siding is made to withstand extreme weather such as, fluctuating temperatures, high winds, moisture, sun and more.

Can you paint this with normal exterior paint?
You can use any water-based exterior-grade paint to go over the prefinished siding. If you are trying to match the factory sheen, you would choose a satin paint. We recommend a 100% acrylic paint as it is the most durable.
