No, but apply (2) coats of Exterior paint
I need more information, never heard of the location you have stated
Depending on the size of the studs either 2 x 2 or 2 x 4 It is better to have 2 x 4 studs on 16-inch on centers Any other size of studs (smaller and more than 16-inch on center) You would need to install extra studs or bracing
You need a minimum Ribbed Wafer-head or equivalent No. 8 x 1 1/4 in. long x 0.375 in. HD
I need a little more information, What is the thickness of the metal and when you say tubular is the metal all round? That the James Hardie Boards will be installed to?
You Install Vertical. Depending on wither this is a replacement Siding or new Construction on a home or building. If it is a replacement, remove the old existing siding, check the sheathing board, if it has one, studs, bottom or top band board, insulation to see if it is wet or the correct size for the walls, I would recommend R-19 or higher R-Rating, Replace any rotten wood, sheathing if it has any then Install the James Hardie Board Panels
I would not use this on a Laminate for flooring, it is to stiff, use 1/4 to 3/8 smooth plywood it has some flex to it
Yes you can, either Vinyl, Wood or Fiber glass Shutters
This depends on what type of siding you are wanting to go over, if it is a smooth siding, you could do it. But not on overlap siding. I do not recommend this, you need to remove the old siding first, then check the structure of the walls.
Yes they do make a 9-ft and 10-ft x 4-ft. Most of the time it is a special order on the Paneling.
