Quality professional style trimmer best value
I needed a good tree trimmer. I previously bought the kind that you find in the stores but they were good for small jobs and could not cut more than 16 feet yo. So I looked online and read the reviews. This product was really given good reviews. Home Depott had the best price (better than all other online stores). I ordered it and it came quicker than I expected got it home opened the box ——it was not quite what I thought it was supposed to be —-seemed kind of heavy and my first reaction was it was a mistake. But I figured I’d put it together try it out and see if it was something I want to keep or send back. After I put it together I still had my doubts but I got it outside and started trimming tree limbs. I will say that I agree with the other reviews it is heavy but it’s awesome as far as what it can do ——it does take some upper body strength to lift it up and get it up to the limb but it does cut through limbs like butter. This thing can cut higher than I could in the past on a 12 foot ladder with an over the counter trees trimming pole from Home Depot or any other place. Overall I’m very impressed with this but I do want to point out like the other reviewer’s that it takes upper body strength and it is heavier than what you would expect but once you get this thing up you can cut the limbs higher than you could ever imagine—-this thing does not fool around —once you get it over a limb you pull it and it snaps that limb off and brings it down quickly. I would say it’s a good purchase —good quality for a very good price —I think it will last many many years but just keep in mind that it is heavy and when you try to lift the pole it does flex a bit but once you get this thing up and put it on a limb it brings the limbs down like it was supposed to do —overall I am extremely pleased and glad I purchased it from Home Depot

Works well. Head on two pole sections is no problem. Head on three sections is unstable due to the weight of the cutting head. Lot of care and muscle needed to use in that configuration. When cutting large diameter hard wood (Maple) on three poles, there is an extreme deflection in the poles. Middle pole could use a collar to thread the rope through to limit pole deflection when pulling on the cutting lever. I got around that by wrapping the rope around the middle pole. Not much instructional information provided, but it is simple to assemble and use. Poles should be a little heavier duty for the 1.5 inch diameter cutting head. Does what I need it to. Optional saw blade makes short work of larger diameter branches, and can double as a hand saw. Rubber base needs a better method of attachment, as it fell off during use. Glue didn't hold.
