No corrosion. No more than any other drain made from brass and plated material. I suppose over many years some corrosion could occur, but very little in normal use. You aren’t using this in an industrial setting. Not intended for that purpose.
No- it's specifically designed for vessel or bar-type single wall sinks.

I don't think so. I have a sink and the hole is exactly 1 1/4". I bought this and the tail pipe is 1 1/4", but the connection area is wider than that. I'm not sure, but I finding it little difficult to locate the proper size.
If the hole in your sink is actually 1 1/4" in diameter no though most sinks have bigger holes than that and use this drain which might be referred to as a standard 1 1/4" drain.
The threaded diameter is 1-1/2" and the smooth tailpiece is 1-1/4".
That is a really big hole for a basin sink I think it would be pushing it too far.
No, if your sink requires a mounting ring to go under it, this does not. The sink should have come with one. all you get is the popup drain and the two rubber seals pictured.
This drain does not have overflow holes.
