Q:Will these survive in El Paso Texas and would i be able to plant them in October?
by|Sep 17, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  This plant should survive El Paso, with your Hardiness zone being in the 8-9 area and this plant being able to adapt to 5-11. October would be a good time for the plant to set down roots for the upcoming winter and spring. Since we are out of Ohio, during this time our plants are going dormant and will take a few weeks to acclimate to its new climate.

        Pitiful Looking
Wanted to add 3rd rose to my bed. This plant arrived looking awful. Hubby planted before I had a chance to exam. I will wait and see given the 90 day return but given the condition, doubt it makes it. Most of Home Depot plant orders do not disappoint.

          disased rose bush
Why this so-called nursery shipped a diseased rose bush is beyond comprehension. I ordered Knock Out roses from another nursery at the same time and all all were were delivered today. I purchased this type of rose because i already have several roses bushes that have this annoying fungus. I planned to replace them with disease resistant types and imagine my horror when i saw this shrub with the same fungus…Be an informed gardener…yellow and black spotted rose leaves- Disease. Fungal attacks can lead to Knock Out rose leaves turning yellow too. Fungal attacks will usually give other signs before the yellowing, such as little black spots on the foliage with perhaps a yellowing circle around the black spot (black spot fungus). Seller, just because Knock Out Roses can get this fungus doesnt mean you should sell them especially if the fungus has progressed extensively. Smh!
