Do not work with Traeger Timberline 1300
These pellets do not burn completely to an ash and leave plasticized chunks in the burn pot causing it to clog. The first time this happened I had a flame out failure which turned into a smoldering hopper fire. After a full cleaning and a beer can chicken cook at 400 degrees for 1.5 hours the burn pot was full of plasticized chunks again. I will not be using these pellets again.

Do not work well at all in my Traeger Timberline
I really wanted to like these pellets. They have gotten good reviews for their smoke flavor in YouTube reviews, the manufacturer is local to me, and Home Depot sells them for a fair price with free delivery. In my Traeger Timberline, I have a terrible problem with flame-outs in the firepot using these pellets. It seems to be well acknowledged that these pellets produce glass-like "clinkers" to form in the firepot from the impurities that get bound up in the bark of the tree. My experience has been that these clinkers form really fast in my grill and in as little as 2 hours cause the firepot to fail to operate properly. Everytime this happens, the grill tries to get the temperature back up by feeding in more pellets, smothering the flame. I then have to stop the cook, disassemble the grill, use tongs to clear the debris out of the firepot, and then restart the grill. Having to contantly monitor my pellet grill and then disassemle it in the middle of a cook is clearly not what I purchased a pellet grill for. I would never have the confidence in my grill with these pellets to do an overnight brisket cook. In case you are wondering, I clean my grill completely after every cook, so the firepot is empty before each use. Maybe my Traeger is especially sensitive to disruptions in airflow caused by these clinkers. A different manufacturer's grill might not be as suseptible to flame-outs. Additionally, I would guess the percentage of minerals present in the bark of the trees, probably varies from tree to tree and bag to bag. Given my experience to date, I could not recommend these pellets to anyone who has my grill. I spend too much time preparing for a cook and too much money on good meats to risk ruining them.

      Buns fast, excess ash
The first thing I noticed is the whole 20 lbs bag fit into my 18 lbs Timberline hopper. When cleaning the grill, there was way more ash everywhere than with any other pellets I used. The most concerning was a chuck of what seemed like lava rock I had to break out of the fire pot. My conclusions are these pellets burn way faster and create more ash than other pellets that I've used and that chuck of rock I dug from the fire pot is very concerning.

        not worth the hype
bought these after watching a few videos on YouTube praising them. first short smoke was great. tried a longer cook of ribs but couldn't even get the smoker going without a few auger breakdown and cleaning. halfway through the cook and the auger got stuck again on giant 1.5"-2" pellets. Definitely not worth it if you have to constantly monitor the smoker. defeats the purpose of a pellet smoker.

          Sweet and slightly tart taste.
These in a 50 /50 blend with the Royal Oak Charcoal pellets are my go to. It give a grilled taste with that sweet and tart plum undercurrent. Excellent blend.

These pellets put so much clinker in my burn pot that the grill cut off as it could not light pellets during cook.

Clinkers! Auger Binding also. Avoid the Hype
I had high hopes for these pellets because of YouTube hype, but these pellets are too hard for the auger in the Traeger. They jam and bind up the auger. I am lucky they didn't break the drive in my Traeger... But the larger problem I think is the large Clinkers that are produced from this pellet. I had clinkers filling the fire pot and stalling out the burn within a couple hours. So even if your auger can handle it, the clinkers are prohibitive. I would Avoid these pellets.

            Unimpressed.
Im unimpressed, used in a 2 year old Yoder ys640s. Fire went out twice excessive ash and unburnt pellets. Erratic temp swings and I didn't notice any better smoke flavor on the pulled pork I made. Stick with Cooking Pellets brand or lumberjack. These Pellets are definitely hyped up by paid schills.

            flavor good. product bad
first time I used pellets temperature range had huge swings. After cook I cleaned out firebox to find a clump that looked like melted plastic not good.decided to try once more cleaned out grill real good made sure nothing could be causing problem and tried again with same results. Hope I didn't damage my grill and won't be using again. It's a shame because flavor was good.
