my kohler tank is model K-4620. I understand that kohler recommends a flapper type flush valve. I would prefer to replace the flapper with a canister type flush valve. will this flush valve work properly in my K-4620 tank?

We installed the Kohler Cimarron toilet 4 months ago, and now the valve is leaking to a point the tank refills every 3-5 minutes. Single flush valve. Has anyone else experienced this so quickly?

If there was a leak that was occurring with your flush valve, you will want to ensure the chain that comes off the canister flush valve is taut. There should be no slack in the chain (1-2 links at most). The black refill tube in the toilet should be connected on both ends; from the fill valve to the top of the canister flush valve. The water level in the tank should also be to the waterline marking listed on the canister flush valve. If that does not correct what was occurring a replacement part would be needed.
