This handel fits what type of a valve

AnswerHi, this is Laura with Kohler Co. I am happy to assist you with your question. The Alteo shower trim kit is compatible with Rite-Temp valves K-304, K-2971 (high-flow), and our new series of valve K-8304. Thank you for choosing KOHLER.
My plumber says the connector is too short. See attaches picture which highlights the part he wansts me to order two of these.
