Q:What is the difference between this elbow connector K-98350-BN and the product K-98351-BN. They look identical to me.

A: Hi CharlieG, this is Sarah with Kohler Customer Service. I am glad to address your question. The K-98351-BN is the same except it has a check valve. The check valve is needed to meet some local and commercial codes. A check valve is used to prevent back flow. Thank you for choosing Kohler.

A: Hi Nina Bee, this is Lisa with Kohler Co. I am happy to answer your inquiry. A supply elbow would be needed if you are using a handshower and hose application. One end of your hose will connect to the handshower and the other end will connect to this elbow. The elbow is connected to the plumbing in the wall, to ensure water comes through the hose. A: This is the piece that connects the opposite end of the hose to the wall/plumbing. If you only purchased the handheld piece to replace an existing head you don't need this. If you are replacing your entire shower you may want this.

nipple too long

I am working in a very standard shower and the nipple that comes with the kit is 2" too long. definitely upset about this.

Came with an adjustable depth nipple. But was to long. Returned it to Home Depot. An associate went on the Kohler website and discovered six different nipple lengths. I ordered the correct nipple from Kohler directly for $17.00. Getting the correct part was a big inconvenience but now I am very happy with the finished look and operation.

So easy to install and very high quality!

I originally purchased the Moen water connection for my hand shower and it was a complete pain. Unless you had the exact length of pipe going into the wall, which is IMPOSSIBLE to find, it either leaked or stuck out. This product completely solved the problem, because they sell adapters with about a half an inch of leeway for installation. It is so easy to install, literally took 5 minutes. It also has a hex socket inside the adapter, which makes it easy to fully tighten without damaging.
