I apologize the Devonshire bowl will not work with the Portrait tank the parts are not compatible for connection. Please work with your local Home Depot for pricing and availability on this product. I apologize, the Devonshire toilet is not currently offered in standard height. Some lines that may be of interest to you that are offered in standard height include Adair, Rialto, and Wellworth. I apologize but model 4619 is a discontinued tank and unfortunately will not work with the 4397 bowl. The 4397 bowl is made to go with the 4438 tank.     Hi Baffled, this is Sarah with Kohler Customer Service. I'm glad to address your question. This toilet bowl cannot be installed without a tank. At this time, we do not offer a residential toilet bowl that does not use a tank. We suggest looking at the following commercial bowls (which require flushometers): K-96057, K-96054-SS, K-4450-C, K-4304, K-4325, K-4323, K-96053, K-4303, K-4398, K-96058, K-96057, K-4398, K-25086 and K-4305.     Be certain you know what “comfort height” is. I was not aware of this specification and ended up with a seat 2” inches higher than expected. HD needs to do a better job of setting expectations!

    Hi Slipjoint, this is Sarah with Kohler Co. I'm sorry to hear you aren't happy with the Comfort Height of your Devonshire toilet bowl. Kohler's Comfort Height, by definition found on us.kohler.com, states: "The height of a toilet bowl (with seat) that stands at the same height as a standard chair measuring between 17” and 19” for maximum comfort and ease when sitting down or standing up." All of our Comfort Height toilets measure 16-1/2" from the floor to the rim of the bowl (before seat). All Kohler standard height toilets will measure under 16" (without the seat).     The new design of the toilet bowl has a higher flow rate that flushes just like a toto toilet does. The base is also deeper in length which stabilize the footing and the seating height is almost 2 inches taller. A far better design than the original.

    Happy to find this design as it matches my pedestal sink. Base was the same as my old toilet but holes on top did not match my old tank Had to replace both tank and base 4 stars as plumber came out and couldn't install with old tank
