Absolutely Beautiful
I just completed renovating my kitchen and had the Elmbrook Cast Iron farm sink installed. It looks amazing. My only advice is to read the reviews from customers who gave it a low rating. The installation instructions are incorrect. Fortunately I had my contractor read the reviews and he figured out how to install it properly. Other than that, I love the sink!

Looks good but Kohler can do better
Template for cabinet cut needs work. If I was to do it again, I would cut 1/8” further in, all around. I question whether the right template was provided in the box.

Love
I planned to purchase the $1200 Kohler Whitehaven sink for my kitchen renovation and am so glad I found this one instead! The two are almost identical except for the drain placement. It is self trimming so installing it is pretty easy. Had it for almost and year and it still looks perfect.

I couldn’t be happier
This sink is stunning and is the focal point of our kitchen redo. I did not want to take a chance on a “fireclay” sink cracking. This replaced a kohler double cast iron that we put in twenty years prior. Very happy with that one so I was confident buying another kohler.

Good Quality to match the price
If you can afford it you will not regret buying a Kohler cast iron sink like this. I am replacing my dual basin sink with this single basin farmhouse sink model. The enamel is strong but you do need to be careful when putting things like cast iron into the sink as it WILL wear down and scuff up the beautiful while finish. Personally, I do not mind as it gives it a nice worn in look but my wife is not as happy.
The packaging it arrives in is very solid and NO STYROFOAM which is absolutely awesome. The corrugated cardboard is much easier to dispose and recycle and had no issues protecting the sink even though this farm house sink weighs as much as a farm house tractor.

When it comes to kitchen sinks there is no comparison to cast iron, when we moved into our home the kitchen had stainless steel for a sink and it was noisy to clean dishes in. Cast iron is heavy and dense which makes it quiet, the enamel coating should be very easy to keep clean as its very slick compared to brushed stainless steel. The depth of the sink combined with a good faucet should allow cleaning even the tallest of pots. Kohler is known as the best cast iron sinks and you can clearly see why, this sink is very well made in USA and weighs north of 140lbs, not a cheap product from overseas. You will need 2 people to even lift the box let alone the sink.

Plan ahead for a Farmhouse Sink! This single bowl white cast iron sink is absolutely beautiful! It is EXTREMELY HEAVY weighing in at around 150lbs! Plan ahead for 3 things. 1) Get help moving this sink 2) make sure your sink base cabinet can be cut at the top front at least 8-9 inches down and doesn't interfere with the cabinet doors below. You may have to get a new base cabinet to accommodate the front sink skirt. 3) Make sure you have a faucet that can fit behind your sink and into your solid surface countertop without your faucet handle hitting the wall behind it. Your counter person will have to have the sink and faucet available along with the correct base cabinet before measuring and cutting your countertop.
The sink is 33" wide inclusive of the top side edges (your solid surface counter will mount on top of these edges) and 19-1/2" from front to back. The inside of the sink is 7-1/2" deep. The drain of the sink is standard size (3-5/8" diameter) and will fit most standard disposals and drain baskets. The bottom of sink is slanted slightly to direct water to the drain. I would also recommend purchasing a bottom sink grid to protect the enamel from getting scratched from pots or pans. The front sink apron is rounded on side edges and sits against your base cabinet when installed. The sink template is included in the box.
When installing this sink, make sure you use 100% silicone caulk as this is cast iron. I'm still waiting on my base cabinet to arrive because my current standard sink base did not allow for enough space to cut out without interfering with the cabinet doors below. (hence my "plan ahead" comment). This sink is absolutely beautiful and will enhance the updated look of my kitchen tremendously! I also love that it's a single bowl sink which allows lots of room for large pots. Kohler makes such great quality products so I know this sink will last a lifetime!

This is a review for the Kohler Elmbrook cast iron 33 in single bowl Farmhouse Apron sink in white. This is a beautiful farmhouse sink and it will look great in the new condo. It was packaged very well as shown in the pictures. This sink will go with any styles including Farmhouse, Traditional, Cottage and eclectic. The size of the sink makes it easy to fill large pots as well.

Wow. Fantastic under mount cast iron farm sink. Do not under estimate the weight of this sink. The white color sink is beautiful and will draw everyone’s attention when they walk into your kitchen. This is an under mount sink, and 33 inches wide. There is one hole, dead center for your drain. It does not have an holes for faucet so the faucet will have to go in the granite or whatever type of countertop you have.
