Q:I installed this piece and the water never got hot. It would warm up, but never get hot. After troubleshooting the problem it appears the hot water inlet on the pressure balancing valve, part number 1207976, is partially obstructed.

Kohler shines
Great set. Very pretty when installed on our black glass tiles. I made the mistake of. It reading directions. DO NOT TAKE THE RING OUT OF THE FAUCET! It stays in there lol. It was very hard to get back in Little expensive but you get quality with kohler

Leaky faucet
I could copy paste every review into this one. Just adding to the list I guess. Leaks against the wall, the clamp to hold the faucet to the pipe is horribly designed. Wasted X amount of hours working on this. This was the most expensive set at the store and it leaks worse than anything I’ve ever seen.

Who pays to fix the ceiling?
Wish I saw all these reviews before I purchased the product because they v installed and reinstalled the tub faucet exactly how it’s supposed to be installed and it continues to leak. So know what do I do the bathroom is finished and I can’t pull everything out to return.... and now because of the leak in the upstairs I now have to take care of the ceiling in my kitchen... thanks Kohler for the added work of a kitchen ceiling after my bathroom. Very disappointed in the money spend and the outcome of your poor design in product

This shower faucet is absolute garbage! I had a plumber install while I was renovating our home, it leaked from the interior components, this wasn't a fault of the plumber. Kohler sent a new one. I had to repair drywall that was damaged.
The nice large handle, it barely moves from the 6 O' clock position to the 11 O' clock position. You can actually see this in the photographs provided by Kohler. Using the faucet, my daughters were complaining the water was never hot, even though our hot water heater is set to 132 degrees. So I tested the water temp at all faucets in our home using a reliable digital thermometer. 5 faucets in our home disperse hot water at 122-123degrees. This Kohler faucet disperses water at 112degrees. A LOSS of 20 degrees!! The water coming out of the shower nozzle barely feels warm. I am very unhappy with this faucet and wish it was easier to swap out. Buyer Beware!!! Photos below illustrate the limited movement of the large handle. That is all the movement there is.

Not your usual shower install package!
Quality of parts (most of it is metal) but the shower head and coverings are plastic. READ the instructions before tearing out the old and trying to replace, there are filament and connections on this package not like a straight up replacement package. The spout connection if not setup correctly with length of pipe, internal clamp will make the install leak as this is not a screw on style connection! Be careful as my internal clamp portion was out of the spout when I opened the package (bad quality control) and had to fight the urge to throw the whole thing out and buy another after getting it back in the correct way. Beyond all of this if you have patience and tools and some prior DIY you can install this. I think it looks nice after install but before we were finished with the shower walls, etc I test fit and tried before the final install, no matter how big or small the job.

Flashy modern look, only downside, the shower head is plastic, as well as the square around the water temperature nozzle. water comes out at full stream and the temperature is easy to adjust. dried water marks show easy, but I'm sure any brush Nickle faucets do the same. $200 well spent.

Installed correctly and still have leaks behind shower head, and tub spout!!!! Like everyone else, too late. Bathroom done already. Good name brand (i thought), very dissapointed. And one of most expensive homd depot faucets!!!

DO NOT PURCHASE!!!!
I purchased this item as a part of a full bathroom remodel. Unfortunately the tub spout continues to leak. I’ve contacted Kohler and they sent me a replacement which also leaks. This is frustrating seeing that bathroom tile was already placed leaving me scrabbling to resolve the spout issue. The Katun model is not threaded and uses what’s called a “slip fit” which is completely useless. BUYER BEWARE!,,

Nice product but can be troublesome to set up
My contractor installed and set up the entire plumbing and including Kohler Katun set. My wife showed me many of the negative reviews and at first was afraid I bought the wrong faucet set. I’m just grateful to say my set was troublesome but manageable to complete. We are totally happy and thankful things worked out well. No leaks or plumbing issues. I recommend this product.
