Kelston 1.6 GPF Single Flush Toilet Tank Only with AquaPiston Flushing Technology in White

I chose this toilet because it was the highest rated one by Consumer Reports. FIRST MAJOR ISSUE: Home Depot has this bowl and tank combo in their online inventory. But they listed it as NOT AVAILABLE! However, the same bowl and tank could be purchased from Home Depot SEPARATELY, but at a significantly higher price! When I called a Home Depot representative to complain, she confirmed that what I was stating was true. But she did not know why? She was kind enough to provide a discount that lowered the price of the two items down to around the cost of the “complete” toilet. The two boxes were to delivered to my home on Sunday. The driver was supposed to call me 30-minutes before delivery so that I would be prepared. I asked that it left in the driveway so that I could use my two-wheel hand truck to bring the boxes into my garage. This was GREAT! I am 74 years old and didn’t want to lift those boxes. SECOND ISSUE: Instead, the boxes were delivered on Saturday to my front door (which had a number of steps leading into the house). Also there was no phone call by the driver. I had to pick up the two boxes and manually bring them up the stairs into my home. I am glad I did not hurt myself. So, instead of the toilet bowl and tank being placed in the garage for the plumber to bring into the bathroom, it sat in my living room! THIRD ISSUE: Despite effort by the plumber, the tank WOBBLES. No water has leaked out of it (we have been using it for a couple of weeks) so far. If it begins to leak, I may have to replace it (or the whole toilet). FOURTH ISSUE: The cover to the tank also WOBBLED. I could not find any issue on either the rim of the cover or on the top of the tank to explain it. I finally got it to sit without wobbling, but there seems to be a GAP between the cover and the tank. If my wife is unhappy with it, I may have to get another cover or replace the tank/cover or simply return the whole toilet. FIFTH ISSUE: I wish that I had a chance to see this toilet in the store. We are not happy with the PLACEMENT of the HANDLE. It sits half-way between the front and back of the tank. We prefer handle to face towards the front of the toilet rather than to the back. I reviewed the photos for this toilet. The pictures reflect the way it is installed. This is a minor issue, but it causes us to reach further (and is more awkward) to flush the toilet. I am not a happy camper.

This Kohler Aquapiston system is impressive! When I press & release the handle, everything simply *disappears*, quickly and quietly. That's the best way to put it. You can hold the handle down for a few seconds and the tank will pretty much empty, but so far, not necessary. I'm so impressed that I'm tempted to just flush recreationally now and then. I've only had this unit for a few weeks, so time will tell about its durability.

Great toilet! My wife loves the seat height and the fact that it's eco-friendly at 1.6 GPF. We can now take advantage from the saving that a low-flush toilet provides.
