AnswersHi, this is Laura with Kohler Co. I am happy to assist you with your question. The dimensions of the base are as follows: 11.06” across the back, 10.1” on the sides, and 10.7” across the front. The pedestal sits 3-1/16” from wall. Thank you for choosing Kohler.
The dimensions on spec sheet say width is 21.75 and depth is 30 - but reviews and picture seem to indate this sink is 30 Wide. Please advise.

AnswersYes, it's 30" wide. The faucet depends on whether you have a single hole or a widespread. I prefer the single hole faucet for easier cleaning and more space for soap or towels, etc.

What is the difference between Models K-2268-8-0 and K-2344-8-0?

AnswersThe size. The 2268 is a 30", while the 2344 is a 24" My recommendation is to make sure you get the right size sink. You want it to look good in the bathroom and not overpower the other fixtures.

We've had this sink less than 2 years, and the glaze is wearing off. Very disappointed. I have NOT used abrasive cleaners and it was professionally installed. I love the style, but the qulality is disappointing, especially for the price, $800 plus installation.

Beautiful, well built pedestal sink

The Kohler Memoir sink is a "stately" addition to any bathroom. It was a perfect match for our hall 1/2 bath.
The ceramic construction is well made and beautiful on this two piece pedestal.
With its wide rim and decorative edging along the exterior makes it truly an eye catching piece.
The double wall sink and pedestal base makes it easy to clean, nowhere to dirt to get trapped, however, it makes the sink a bit heavier.
Tips:
- The sink does require securing to a wall (for stability) so it is better to have this sink chosen in pre-construction so that proper wood support can be added in the wall before sheetrock.
It can be installed as a renovation project, however some preparation should be made to properly anchor the sink to the wall. The wall won't need to support the weight of the sink but because of the narrow pedestal the weight of the sink, you would want to secure the sink on something more than just sheetrock. The sink comes with 3/8" lag screws that are intended to be threaded into wood studs.
- You will need help to hoist the sink bowl and/or align the pedestal.
- It's a lot easier to pre-install the faucet and sink drain. Once the sink is in position there is some room to work but tightening everything up can present somewhat of a challenge. Again, you will just need a helper to safely lift the sink into place.
Pros:
- Large sink bowl. Easy to fit your arm in if you needed.
- Large spacious rim, plenty of room to set a tub of soap or toothbrush holder.
- Beautiful easy to clean ceramic
- Large built-in overflow drain
Cons:
- None other than it is heavy but that's really a "pro" since it mean great construction.

I recently purchased the Kohler Memoirs Pedestal sink in white stately design from my local Home Depot. Before buying, I read reviews about how some people were receiving their fireclay sinks with cracks. Since this is a special order from Home Depot, it is hard to inspect before buying but took a chance anyway. I'm happy to say that my sink arrived with no blemishes or cracks.The sink was relatively simple to install and adds a classic look to my bathroom remodel.

This sink has approximately 5.5" on either side of the basin. Generally, it is just as big as the vanity that we replaced - but taller and more leg room. Keep in mind how much space you have available in your bathroom because this item is large and square. The corners are "stately" or pointy and at approximately eye level with small children. It looks really cool though.

If you're looking at this sink, I hope you have seen it in person, as the photos do not do it justice. It's a modern classic piece that fits seamlessly into our very old house. The sink sides provide plenty of space for soap dishes, toothbrush holders, etc, and it simply looks majestic. My only complaint is that it was a good 8" taller, and 4" deeper, than the pedestal that was there before, and the additional height and depth pose a challenge for our young daughter to use it, even with a stool. But obviously she will grow into it! Home Depot and Kohler both provided exceptional follow-up service on an install issue as well (sink was shipped without hardware; replacements were received in a matter of days from both Kohler and Home Depot). Install was very easy, though be prepared to get a longer drain spout to accommodate the height.

We loved the look and utility of these until the cracks started. Kohler knows about the cracks that every one of these will eventually develop and will do nothing about it except blame the installation, which is NOT the problem. One of ours developed them after about a year, the other took a few years, but it WILL happen. Stay away!!

It's hard to determine without seeing the cracks, however, a craze pattern can develop at any time in the lavatory’s life. Crazing is caused by tensile stresses greater than the glaze is able to withstand. Causes that are most often related to the development of crazing include: size of the piece, temperature changes, humidity changes, vibration (as in moving the piece often), and the age of the piece. Crazing occurs in the manufacture of vitreous china products regardless of manufacturer. Very specific efforts have been made to reduce the frequency of crazing occurrence. Stunning!!! We got this one for our half bath since we needed something not too big. I though I would miss having a cabinet and the storage but this pedestal sink is so elegant and timeless that I don't really care about the lack of storage.
It was delivered in two separate boxes, very well packed, which give you a piece of mind with pricey items like this one. It has a shiny white finish that is very easy to clean. You have enough space around the vessel for soap and even lotion.
We were going to install this ourselves but ended up needing some pipe work so we got our handyman to put it together but it looked fairly simple and quick to do.
Overall, very pleased with this piece.
