A: Hello, my name is Kassi with Kohler Co. I'd be glad to answer your question. We recommend getting a template of the sink that you are interested in to be able to see if it is a match. The template will lay over the existing hole to show the difference. Templates can be ordered from our literature department at 920-803-3985 M-F from 8AM-5PM CST. Thank you for choosing Kohler.
A: I don't think so. This sink requires a round opening in the countertop. Maybe the hole could be enlarged to make this sink sit on top of the countertop
A: The K-R2194-4-0 Has a overflow the other does not. But importantly you should be asking about the flatness of the bowl rim. If the rim is not entirely on the same plane you have gap problems
A: Hi, this is Laura with Kohler Co. I am happy to assist you with your question. The difference is the number of faucet holes. The K-2196-1-0 requires a single-hole faucet. The K-R2196-4-0 requires a centerset or single hole faucet with an escutcheon to cover the 2 unused holes. The R in the second unit merely indicates this is a retail model sink. Thank you for choosing Kohler.
