Q:Can I swap out the drain cover (the part that sits under the pop up/push down stopper) and the stopper? It looks like both should be able to be swapped out. But want to confirm.

K-1957-LA-0 does not come with the drain; the required drains, K-7272 or K-7271 are separate serviceable parts. If you have one installed, the overflow and stopper can be changed out to different finishes. Thank you for choosing Kohler.

          Returning tub, picked it up brought it home opened it. Has a crack where the side curves down twoards the side wall.

            Bad quality
            Although I have seen a lot of negative reviews about this model of KOHLER bathtub, I still believe that it is just an individual problem, but now the qualification problem appears on the bathtub I bought. After the renovation was completed, I found a hole the size of a pinhole at the bottom of the bathtub. I don’t know. How to deal with it?

              Lots of issues but a comfy soak and not slippery
              PACKAGING & HANDLING ON THIS TUB IS SUB PAR! BOTH damaged-1ST TUB W/LG CRACK! Exchange process = absolute h/a bc it was an online order. Store and online team not properly trained as it took well over an hour and MANY to assist. Online service reps nice & helpful, but rec'd different info each time I called. 2ND tub box ALSO DAMAGED (apparently HD piles them on top of one another in the warehouse) and missing cellophane protective wrap. KOHLER & HD needs to do better. Chip noticed AFTER INSTALL! Kohler did cover repair, but a sm dent/area of repair is visible. Pre created drain hole is off center. Tub itself has textured bottom so not slippery. The tub is deep and great 4 soaking! Had to get used to the taller leg swing to get in.

                This tub was in perfect condition when installed, no visible defects. I was super happy with it. However, now that my renovation is complete, and I have peeled the plastic off... The finish is peeling. This is a disaster and totally unacceptable. I thought maybe it was grout haze at first but nope, it looks like the top layer of finish is coming off. Really really terrible.

                I was concerned about the quality after reading a few reviews that said there were thin spots in the acrylic. Sure enough, I put a light inside this tub before installing and you can see so many thin spots where the light wash clearly visible. The section under the apron was the worst. No way I would install this at my house. You’re basically asking to totally redo your bathroom again when it breaks before long.
