The Vault undercounter single-basin apron-front sink features an innovative shortened, Self-Trimming apron. Unlike most apron-front or farmhouse sinks, the Vault apron-front sink can be installed in new standard cabinetry or retrofitted to existing standard cabinetry, and does not require a special apron-front cabinet. This makes it ideal for kitchen remodeling situations. The sink installation requires only that the cabinet's false drawer front be removed and a simple cut to the face of the cabinet be made. The unique Self-Trimming apron overlaps the face of the cabinet, ensuring consistently beautiful installation results. This sink is designed to fit in a 30 in. base cabinet, and the 9 in. deep basin, tight corner radii, and rear-oriented drain maximizes usable work space within the basin.

Do Not Purchase This Sink. Quality Issues!!
I purchased the Kohler Vault 36" Apron Front Sink for a kitchen remodel at my home. We ordered and received the sink from Home Depot. I left the protective film on the sink while I installed it. After installation I took the film off only to realize that the sink has a weld mark on the face of the apron. This is an obvious blemish and I thought that the Kohler quality inspectors just didn't catch it. So I uninstalled the sink and ordered a new one to replace it. We took the first sink back to Home Depot for a refund as they will not just switch it out. The second sink arrived yesterday and I inspected it before installation. It has the same blemish. Its as if someone has hit the sink apron from the back causing a dent that protrudes from the front. I now suspect that this is not a random issue and that Kohler is aware of it. I just got off the phone with Kohler customer service. That was a waste of time. The customer service rep said they have no complaints listed for this sink. I asked her how she knows that because I had not given her the style number of the sink. I don't think the Kohler brand carries the same quality that they did years ago. Don't waste your time purchasing this sink. Its not worth the $700 + that HD and Kohler are charging. As for me, I don't have the luxury to purchase a different sink as I have modified my sink cabinet to work with the defective Kohler product. Wish me luck.

Love this sink!!! Was a little nervous about installation, but it was a breeze!! The countertop guys, tile guy and the plumber were all impressed with the sink! The plumber said the quality was top notch, and not cheaply made!! I love how it has a sink protector and that there is no divider and I can get big pans and cookie sheets in there, no problems. Very happy with this purchase!!!!

Beware! This sink is meant to be installed in a standard sink cabinet. DO NOT use a farmhouse sink cabinet. Ours was installed in our new house in a farmhouse sink cabinet and the quartz countertop installed. Then we realized that the sink was damaged -- dented in the front with, according to Kohler, no way to undent it. The only way to remove the sink is for the cabinet front to be cut out, which would destroy the cabinet. Although Kohler said that the sink should not even be able to be dented, and that they would replace the sink, they would not cover the cost of its removal and installation of the new sink. And besides that, no contractor is willing to try because it is likely that the countertop will break, and to replace the countertop, the backsplash would have to be removed and replaced as well. Home Depot has been very good to us, but Kohler has not been at all helpful.

Terrible quality - looks nice doesn’t hold up
I am sad to say this pretty stainless steel sink does NOT hold up!!! I have been SHOCKED And VERY DISAPPOINTED AT THE FRAGILITY. I paid a premium for this sink and it was NOT worth it. For reference i am a landlord and this is my 8th property and first bad review on a sink. This home was more expensive so i went with this unit 3943. First issue week oneregular gentle dishwashing soap -Palmolive soften hands while you do dishes brand - it had slowly dripped out of a scrubby left in the sink, it was about 4 tablespoons. When i rinsed it down the drain the next the stainless steel had pitted with black dots everywhere the soap had laid. It scratches extremely easily. My normal landlord tricksDO NOT work in removing . A dot of cleaner discolored the stainless. Expect dirt to cling to the corners as well. Look its a pretty design, but if a single, fastidious real estate investor with no kids or wife constantly using the sink is have quality issues after 6 months - expect a mess with regular use. My advice? look for this design in a different brand with a different quality stainless. If you go for it be prepared it will scratch, stain and pit. Flippers or DIY folks- avoid this item, it might not even make it thru install without damage.

This is likely caused by some sort of minerals in your water or items in the sink. A metal scrubby can cause this affect. We recommend using a Stainless Steel cleaner and nonabrasive cloth or sponge, working with, not across, the grain. We do not recommend the use of steel wool, wire brushes or abrasive sponge pads. We suggest cleaning stainless steel at least once a week. Allowing water to evaporate on metal can form water deposits or rust. To avoid this and keep your product looking beautiful, it is important to wipe the sink clean with a soft cloth after each use.
