Hi Phillybahamas, this is Sarah with Kohler Customer Service. I'm glad to address your question. This basin can be wall mounted and does not require the pedestal base. A pedestal base replacement can also be used. This is model K-5246. Thank you for choosing KOHLER.
john, my name is Jessica with Kohler Customer Service. I am happy to assist with your inquiry. K-5248-4-96 is just the basin, it requires pedestal K-5246 to complete K-5266-4 pedestal sink. Thank you for choosing KOHLER.
I'm not sure if they are compatible. The elmbrook looks more square than the veer pedestal so the veer sink might not set correctly on top of the elmbrook pedestal. There is quite a bit of wiggle room with the underside of the sink so it may be possible but I can't say for sure. We opted for the veer pedestal as it matched the foot print of the existing toilet.
Yes as long as it is on a stud. There is a bracket that goes on the wall first then sink hangs. However the wall bracket that comes with it is plastic but it should still hold. Our pedestal is loose as we wanted to allow for tile flooring in the future so it's not supporting the basin at all. It's just aesthetic at this point.
I think the answer is yes, but I can't swear by it. The underside of the basin is fairly large but a square pedestal might not work in a horseshoe shaped underside of the basin etc... May need to check the floor models and see what you're working with on the underside of the basin.
