Vorleigh 1-Light Polished Chrome Wall Sconce

Kohler Vorleigh brass wall sconce is a work of art. The craftsmanship and quality of this brass wall sconce is exceptional and bar none. I equate it to an item crafted by the elven artisans, it's so exquisite! And on a more humorous note, it reminds me of one of the robot critters from an episode in Star Wars! Anyways, back to this gorgeous light; from it's careful packaging to the lovely materials, this awesome brass sconce, while intended for a lovely bathroom, I've decided to showcase it at my front door entry room since it's so lovely I wanted to share it with arriving guests! I'm on a 'brass and blue' theme so this matches perfectly with that motif. Installation is straightforward with the included mounting plate and hardware. Kohler paid attention to installation as the electrical wires has a detachable harness that allows wiring of the harness first, then clipping it the rest of the light fixture once hard-wired. I think that was a great way of ensuring an easier installation. Thank you Kohler! Tolerances are very tight with the three brass screws that attach to the fixture to the mounting plate. Material is top notch; all brass and solid! The light bulb is an E12 base; more like chandelier type bulbs. The dome pivots to ease bulb installation. I installed one of the EcoSmart LED bulbs with warm white light and it absolutely glows! It's truly a beautiful wall sconce and highly recommended.

This Vorleigh K-27944-SC01 wall sconce by Kohler adds a touch of elegance to your room with the simple Art Deco style. Although it is not constructed with brass, the brushed-brass finish on the magnetic metal is well done and looks perfect. The best bulb for this light is an E12 or G type frosted candelabra LED with an equivalence of 60 watts. The hardware and instructions are included and I like that the wiring harness has a quick-connector that can disconnect while you are installing the base onto the wall. The installation manual is clearly written. Installation is easy - unscrew the 3 screws from the mounting plate and attach to wall, unhook the quick disconnect, attach the wires, reconnect the connector and insert inside wall, attach light to plate and screw the 3 screws back into the lamp base. I also like that the shade can tilt to various angles with the 2 thumbscrews and can rotate by loosening the socket ring. I would have liked to have a switch on the lamp so there would be an option of using that or the wall switch. I would also have appreciated having a bulb included, as I am having trouble in my area finding one that fits. The wall base has a 5-1/2" diameter and the lamp protrudes 10" from the wall. The total height is 14-7/8" when the 8-5/8" shade is in the upright position. This light arrived safely packaged with Styrofoam inserts. Kohler offers a 1-year warranty on the finish and a 5-year warranty on the structure and LED components.

We find the perfect marriage between the modern and the classic in a Kohler Vorleigh wall scone. The brushed brass finish suggests a classic timeless look while its simple lines and shape oozes modern beauty. Kohler takes its packaging very seriously - Vorleigh comes in a cardboard box well-reinforced by styrofoam perfectly cut out with the shape of the scone. The light feels very sturdy and well constructed. The installation instruction manual is clear and well written. Overall, this is one of the prettiest and most unique wall light I have ever seen.

This Kohler wall sconce is beautifully designed. The art deco design makes look very nice in a modern home. It is made with steel, aluminum and brass and is very strong. The lamp is made to last. The brushed finish is flawlessly applied. The lamp shade pivots and can direct light toward the wall or down. It can be used to highlight a wall or whatever you want to draw attention to. Uses candelabra base (E12) socket bulb. Also a plus is that it can be used in damp locations so there is no limitation on where it can be installed.

There's a quality difference in the lights you buy at your local hardware store and those you spend more money on and special order online. The instant I picked this light up out of the box I could feel its quality, thick metal everywhere not the paper thin sheet over plastic, the brass nut that threads on to hold the top to the post, even the knobs for the top pivot bracket are all metal. I do appreciate that Kohler didn't slap a big logo on this one, the logo is very faint and subtle as pictured. The box came well packged with stiff styrofoam enclosing each and every part so theres no risk to the light fixture.

Make sure to follow all safety precautions when working with electricity. The little antenna on the bottom is removable. I keep taking it on and off every couple days to see how I like it. The light splashes toward the wall and depends on how you adjust the hood. The good adjust nicely to get it how you want. In my case I want the bulb to be blocked. Only issue was the bulb receptacle was not centered that’s why the 4 stars. Overall a unique design and quality material.

Make sure to locate the lamp where you already have existing cables pulled in. Quality of hardware is excellent. Can sustain long. We have used this lamp for indoor settings.

As we all say things and made like they used to be and this has that quality feel to it that you know it’s gonna last a long time. The instructions were very easy to understand for someone that has never done nothing electrical before or for someone that’s done it many times the installation process was very simple And easy especially having the wiring harness that came with it to clip it together for the connection.Overall if you’re looking for a fixture that brightens up the room it has style and characteristic and quality that last a lifetime this is definitely something I would recommend anyone. Also I have to say we chose to install it and the doors between our walkway into the home and it added such a beautiful touch of class but yet didn’t overdo it it was just absolutely stunning. It’s honestly perfect for any room with any Decour it would fit in anywhere. It really brightened up the walkway which is inside of our home and just really spruced it all up and the brightness of the light is just stunning!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the design of this light. It was so easy to install, but if your not sure how to do it, get someone that can or a professional. I put mine at the entry way of my home, so when you first walk in, you see the modern design. It does remind me of a 1930’s look. If you have a landline phone, I personally think it would look great beside it. This light would look good in any part of your home. It’s sturdy and made well. I would recommend this product.
