8 ft. 150-Watt Equivalent 9750 Lumen Integrated LED White Strip Light

This 8 foot long integrated LED light fixture has light emitters spaced every half-inch along its 96 inch length. That’s 192 light producing points to help brighten the room. It comes assembled in a cardboard crate with the wires ready to connect from the top side. The fixture comes with screws, sheetrock anchors and two half-circular plates to cover a round-box in the ceiling. I mounted this lamp to the music room ceiling to help read music when playing the piano. The added LED illumination makes the music much easier to read. There is no buzzing or flickering from this lamp and the brightness is near daylight at mid-morning.

This 8’ light is very bright. It includes a couple of brackets and screws for the installation. I chose to put this in my ship directly above my work bench. I added a couple of pieces of chain and hooks that I had on hand from previous light projects so I could suspend this from the rafters. The installation was straight forward, and the wiring was simple as it is hard wired. The light is very bright and does put off a little bit of heat. I replaced a couple of flood lights with this single 8’ light and I am happy with how the light is evenly distributed with this light.

This strip light is a lot brighter than I thought. Really easy to install and I love that it mounts flush to the ceiling. Although it is a dimmable light fixture I have it on a regular switch. Will definitely install another one on the other side of the garage. The light is a bright daylight light which is perfect for a workshop setting. Definitely recommend this light fixture for any garage, shop, lab, and office.

KOVA Dimmable 8ft. 65 Watt LED Strip Light My Wife has been complaining about the two tube 8 ft. fluorescent light in her sewing room, She doesn't like the light flickering and buzzing it makes when it's on. I received this KOVA 8ft. strip light to evaluate for Home Depot Seeds Program. She has the same light only a 4ft. on her quilting table and it is the best so I replaced the fluorescent with the Kova 8ft. LED. I would recommend being qualified for this type of hookup. I will make a surface mount with wiring hookup in the light so I had to open up the light, install a chase nipple to protect the wires from sharp edges and the box cover plates, and drill two holes to match up with the floor joist as we are in the basement. Then it was a short job to mount the light, hook up ground, neutral and hot lead with wire nuts and assemble the fixture. The light from this KOVA LED fixture is very bright, smooth light. We are very happy with the quality of this KOVA LED light fixture.

The Kova 8 ft. strip light is very bright. It distributes clean, even light throughout the garage in which I installed it and, while I haven't tested its power consumption, the estimated yearly energy cost (according to the packaging label) is only $7.83. The mounted product works excellently and I'm pleased with its performance. Unfortunately, installation presented a challenge. The light fixture came with two spring clip brackets for mounting. Installation was easy and required no special skills or tools. However, the clip brackets fit into indentations on each end of the light's housing. This required the brackets to be mounted approximately 83.5 inches apart in order for them to catch the indentations and securely hold the light fixture. The problem was that, mounting the light perpendicular to exposed studs was impossible giving the spacing requirements. In my case, I had to mount the light parallel to and directly onto one of the exposed studs in my garage. While this worked fine for my purpose, this issue could have been resolved by the manufacturer had the mounting indentations run along the length of the light housing or, at least, at various intervals along its length. Had the mounting system been more well-designed, additional mounting options would have become available Additionally regarding mounting, the light fixture came with two sheet metal screws and two drywall anchors, so mounting to drywall would have been easy and the issue described above would have not even been a consideration. But, I had to find my own wood screws to mount the light to the wood studs. What's more, I even removed the plastic light cover in an effort to access several pre-drilled holes in the bottom of the housing, my intention being to mount the housing without the clips and, perhaps, perpendicular to the studs as I'd originally wanted to. To do so, however, I would have had to completely remove the LED light strips (there are two 4' sections), mount the housing, then reinstall the strips. I'm sure I could have done so with relative ease, but it's not something that was covered in the instruction manual and, frankly, it seemed like a lot of effort to resolve what I considered to be a manufacturer's design issue. All things considered, this light is bright and, once installed, it looks as nice and works as well as an average shop light should. However, the design of the mounting system prevent this product from being a top pick. I would consider other lighting products before settling on this one.
