Questions & Answers

It says "STEEL ROOF FLASHING". Can this be used on a flat shingled roof?

Asked by RJ April 9, 2019

Thank you for your question as it points out a flare in the listing and gives me an opportunity to correct it. I don’t know why someone or some machine chose to key in on the metal roof aspect of this product. Although it can be used on a metal roof, most roofs are not metal so that point should not be so overly emphasized. Now to your question. Yes this can be used on a flat roof. However I have never heard of a flat shingled roof. Thus I am a little concerned or confused. All flat roofs I have ever dealt with are either, tar and gravel, rubber or PVC. With all of these systems the contractor not going to use this type of flange. Instead they will want to use a specific material for that system. So in the case of tar and gravel they will use either copper or lead. In the case of rubber and PVC the flashing will be out of the same material. If you want to give us a call we can talk about the specifics of your situation. We can be reached at 978 651 3301 Chris

do you get a discount is we buy more than 10?

Asked by sam August 26, 2017

These questions are routed to the technical service dept of the manufacturers thus I can not speak officially on behalf of the Home Depot concerning there pricing practices. With that said i can say that the online systems are still currently ridged and do not lend themselves to quantity pricing, I am sure that will change in the future. However I have dealt with the Home Depot stores for decades and when they called me for a job lot on this item, such as you are suggesting, i would give them a better price and I am sure they would do the same. Thus I would suggest you contact the Prodesk at your local store and you can have them give me a call. Chris 978 651 3301

This is a heavy duty product which worked very well on my metal roof. It is worth the cost to have a product that will last for many years.
