Q:We'd like to put the 80 bottle wine cooler next to our refrigerator. The space is 21" wide. Ample space behind (over 12") and above as needed. I read somewhere that the unit needs 24" wide to install. Can we get away with 21"?

Fair Cooler, Fair Price
A fair product at a fair price. After reading many reviews, I knew what to expect on the bottle storage capacity, so I purchased two of them. The coolers are quiet and each one holds the same temperature of 61 degrees set at 59. I was expecting to store five bottles on each shelf (like in the picture) but you have to jam them together and the shelf won’t pull out without the bottles clinking against each other. I ended up putting four bottles on each shelf for a total of 48 bottles in each unit.

Doesn’t keep constant temperature
If you’re storing Tuscan reds or Bordeaux bottles, you’re not getting 80 bottles in here, #1.
#2, this cooler DOES NOT hold a constant temperature. Each shelf is a different temp!
After 24 hours, each shelf is a different temp. Temp set is 50 degrees, each shelf is between 56 - 70.6.
My two smaller units, which this was meant to replace, had no issues in keeping a constant temp.
This is horrible, especially when storing expensive bottles.

The wine cooler is great just what I wanted and holds a lot of wondering about 80 bottles. The only drawback is the top quarter is warmer than the rest of the wine cooler in a way this is great you can put red wines top one 1/3 and white wines the rest of it and they all stay fresh

The depth of the racks are not ideal. You cannot fit all wine bottles in as you would expect. Max 5 bottles per shelf and it is definitely not ideal, as they will not stay in place and tend to roll around. They are pretty quiet and don’t generate much heat, but you definitely don’t want to put anything onto of them as it does get pretty warm.

50 bottle unit only lasted a year
I purchased a smaller sized Kalamera (50 bottle) unit in 2021 from Home Depot. It stopped cooling just over a year from purchase. It only comes with a 1 year warranty and I honestly expected the unit to last for years for the money I spent. Turns out it was just a waste of money. I tried to contact the manufacturer several times for assistance and never received a response. I’ll be purchasing a new wine fridge to replace the broken Kalamera and will be sure to stay away from this brand.

Cooler did not ever hold a constant temp. Was all over the place. 6 degree variance between the top and bottom shelves of this unit. Was not impressed. Returned the unit.
