This is our first purchase of this Fruit Tree Fertilizer. Thus, star rating is based on decent price, convenient package size, and ease of use. The tree it's used on produced only 3 fruit this year but they did not make it to maturity while a matching tree bought at same time from same nursery and planted 2 miles away yielded at least 40 delicious fruit. We pretty much need a whole year to test this product... The true test will be next year's fruit crop.

I have a small orchard and a fig tree that was grown indoors for several years before I placed it outside. The fruit in the orchard would often be mealy and flavorless. I applied Kellogg Garden Organics in early spring, and am now enjoying the results. My apples developed incredible and complex flavor and are firm, crunchy and juicy. The fig tree (I'm in growing zone 5) is covered with immature fruit.
My soil is alkaline clay, so the probiotics contained in the fertilizer have helped improve the soil quality and released many of those nutrients that were bound up in the clay. This is a big improvement over other commercial fertilizers, that provide what amounts to a fast food meal to the trees.
One small caveat - this fertilizer is made with chicken manure and ground feathers. It does smell like a chicken coop. My two cats, who were feral before they were rescued, kept trying to tear open the bag. They imagined that I had brought home a big bag of chicken. So keep the bag stored where pets can't get to it.

We absolutely love the Kellogg Organic fertilizers. It makes us feel so good to actually be nourishing the soil as well as our plants. The millions of beneficial microbes in each bag help break down the organics in the soil & do a better job of feeding our plants. And the beneficial mycorrhizae extend the root system, bringing nutrients and water to the plants. We don’t have to feed our plants as often as with chemical fertilizers that must be used every 10 to 30 days. Now that we have been using these products many years, we just go through our whole yard and feed 3 times a year. That is so much easier to have our soil working for us.

This is the only organic fertilizer I use for my citrus. My trees remain healthy & it’s oranges are large & very juicy. Very good product & I recommend it highly.

I have used a lot of tree and plant fertilizers...
I have used a lot of tree and plant fertilizers in the past and have found that the Kellogg “Organic Plus” fruit and vegetable brand fertilizers really work the best. The incredible growth on younger trees is really noticeable while using the Fruit Tree fertilizer. I highly recommend the Kellogg brand.
