Great AC for my needs, wish I had two. Installed in my LR and it does wutit does when it do wutit do. Since i am a disabled vet w/limited income i can only afford one of these beauties.

I have 2 Keystone through the wall air conditioners now so I have nothing else to compare it too. The 1st one worked so well I never gave a different manufacturer a second thought.

I have a 450 s.f. lunch room and this AC unit keep it nice and cool. Designed for up to 550 s.f. and works wonderfully. It is quiet too which is great when we hold company meetings in the lunch room.

i been using this for only 2 weeks May 1 to 16 with warm weather starting and with a couple days up to 90,, and very happy with cooling,, the temperature is about 39-40 degrees measured with mechanical thermometer attached to the vents and that is good and cold for an A/c unit .. it will take down the temp 1-2 degrees in about 15 minutes and after an hour the room will be comfortable to being cold .. it may be a little loud but for a large capacity unit it has to move a lot of air ,therefore, the fan noise ... but my priority is cooling and don't care about the noise ... if you notice any brand that is quiet cool,, they are around 8k btu, and smaller, and on low fan speed ,, if you want a quiet unit get that and not this size .. I got the keystone because of price when compared to name brands i see are 75-90% higher cost up to 700 and higher ... as long as this will cool i will be happy and I don't care about electric cost as long as i am comfortable .. i am also very happy with HomeDepot.com for refunding the difference what I paid when it went on sale twice in a week after I bought this too ... Thank you homeDepot.com This is made in china ,, it is all you will find everywhere ,, I also seen what looks to be same units but with different names brands ,, and for lower price down to $300 on the internet but I decided to buy and ship to homeDepot store for safer transporting and it arrive for my store pickup in perfect condition, the unit and the box .. very happy again about that ... which is another reason i did not purchase from other seller and then take a chance with shipping abuse which seems to occur ,, reading other people reviews ... last year , I used a portable a/c 12k btu last year and there is no comparison with a wall unit that will work way better and more efficient .. i installed in my family room ,, and have central a/c,, i expect this to cut usage cost that i don't run the central to cool the whole house and will use the central at nite where it works more efficiently to cool,, then this wall unit to cool the room during day only ...or maybe even the whole first floor .. i won't know til full summer heat of july-aug .. Another plus now ,, if this fails,, another wall unit can be installed very easy and i bet it would only take me 10 minutes. . and if the central ac fails ,, i still have cooling .. backup ..

i finally took out the 1979 air conditioner and bought this. what a difference. place was cool in 1 hr. 90 degrees to 81 thats all she wrote

Powerful Air conditioner for a large living area, cools down quick. We use for good size Living room and small kitchen in an apartment. In the high setting gets a little loud but overall very happy so far.

I am not happy at all with the Keystone 12,000 BTU 115V Through The-Wall AC There is no items included to block the sides of the unit. They keep referring to a sleeve which we do not have. All of the other A/C’s that I have bought the actual machinery is on a plat form that slides out of the cover. My surprise that this unit does not do this, so to clean it I will have to have someone remove the whole unit which is not an easy task. What is this sleeve they keep referring to? If I had this does it have things to mount to the side to close off the empty space on both sides of this unit? Or is this something that Keystone sells separately which other manufactures do not do or at least the ones I have dealt with have included this along with the unit.
