I selected this unit because it was one of the largest through the wall AC units that would be delivered the fastest since my old wall unit died at the beginning of a heat wave. It surprises me that none of the big box stores stock any through the wall units. It arrived in less than a week. I purchased the recommended 26” wall sleeve. I like that it is significantly smaller than my old Fredrich unit that was over 25 years old. Since I can monitor my daily electric usage, it does appear to be much more energy friendly. It’s easy to operate with simple controls. I pretty much set and keep it at 68 on energy saver mode and it is keeping 700 sf at 70 degrees on hot and humid days. It is much more quiet than my old unit, and makes about the same amount of noise as a window unit. I had a contractor install it since the wall hole needed to become much smaller. The only thing I do not like is that it seems to stick out quite a bit from the wall. My contractor said he followed the specs and directions, and it is because I have 4” thick walks not 6” walls. The white trim is nice, but for me it is not flush with the wall, so it seems somewhat pointless. Be sure to buy various types of weather stripping as you will see light coming through and let in bugs and outside air even with the wall sleeve. Maybe my contractor did a poor job, but he has always done great work in the past. There was no need to buy a bracket holder. The weather stripping made a big difference. The AC blows nice cold air and is keeping my small eat-in kitchen and small living room very comfortable. In all, I’m satisfied. The price was reasonable but did cost me $450 for installation. I’m hoping it will last at least 10 years since replacing a wall unit is a hassle.

Works perfectly for my large bedroom. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is that its a little loud, wish it was quieter but you get used to it Other than that I love the Auto and Energy saving setting and it comes on and off appropriately.

I am totally happy with the Air-conditioner, but wasn't happy with the matching through the wall shroud, so I didn't use it. The AC cools my camper easily on the hottest days, and seems energy efficient.

Quiet and efficient. I replaced another brand that was installed in a brick wall with this. Bought the sleeve that corresponds and downsized the opening slightly. Temps still in the 80s and 90s here so it's being tested. Happy with it,remote is a plus,installed 2 weeks ago.
