      A:  Hello donjose10, with this extinguisher, if maintained and inspected every year with full service done every 6 years, the unit will last indefinitely. with the disposable units that cannot be recharged, they have a shelf life of 12 years.

          A Lot of Piece of Mind
          I bought this fire extinguisher for my detached garage/workshop. I liked its large capacity and rating. I will be mounting it next to the door. I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it! My current garage/workshop is a replacement for one that burned down from a fire from an adjacent property. So, I am a little sensitive about fires, anyway.
