Q:This is the faucet I want to replace. There are 2 3/4 inches from the wall it?s mounted on to the back of the piece connecting the hot and cold water handles to the faucet. Will the new replacement below fit?

The unit slholds water in shower handle that leaks slowly out over time when the water is turned off and valve handle is closed. If not over tub edge, leaks onto floor.
