This is my second copper mixer, I have the pro line 7qt and this artisan and let me tell you the finish is just beautiful! This mixer is great for me as I wanted a smaller mixer for when I don't need my big 7 quarts one. I used it so far whenever I can for cookies, whipped cream, meringue, frosting and cake. It shines and purrs like a dream. There's just something special and regal feeling about them. It gives me something nice to look forward to, in these trying times a little something special makes everything a little easier to take and I can always count on Kitchenaid to have something inspiring, beautiful and useful in the kitchen. I couldn't be happier. I'm even thinking of getting a mini to complete my collection.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Years ago I received a hand-me-down Artisan Tilt-Head that was at least 25 years old. I decided to get a new one and pass the old one off to someone else. This new one is absolutely stunning and I love it. I also purchased the hammered bowl which accents perfectly with the copper!
My only concern with it, is that it does not lock all the way and sometimes causes the head to move. I have followed Kitchenaid's guides on adjusting the height of the head properly etc. and it still won't lock correctly. I have also seen in other reviews that this is a problem that they've only noticed with mixers from the Custom Metallic Series. It isn't the biggest concern as along as you're not doing very heavy doughs, but I'm afraid it might cause issues later down the road.

She works hard, plays hard, and she looks good doing it. This mixer is the perfect size for most people, and it has brought so much convenience to the kitchen. So much so, that I'm baking much more than my family can eat. Having this mixer has really helped me improve my baking, so if you're considering a mixer get a KitchenAid, it doesn't even have to be this one. However, if you are considering the copper plated one, you will not regret buying it. This mixer is absolutely gorgeous and looks even better in person. Plus, it's very easy to clean and has held up very well in my relentless pursuit of baking. I love this mixer.
