Q:Will this work for fine-stranded copper cable such as AS22759/3 or/4? Or will it smear the strands between the blades?

Answer This Question

A:  We ended up picking up a set and I tested it out with M22759/2-04 (2,109 strands of 30AWG) and right out of the package, the joint could be tighter. Snug it up a bit and hold your cable tight and perpendicular and it's better than loppers.

A:  It should work on fine-stranded copper cable

Q:Does this work with fiber optic cable and coax?

        Answer This Question

A:  Klein Tools Cat. No. 63060 would not be a good choice for Coax or Fiber Optic, as your cuts would not be clean on these materials. For Coax, choose Cat. No. 63030. Since Fiber Optic has Kevlar strands in it, your choices should be Klein Tools Cat. Nos. 24000 or 24001.

              Klein tool 63060
Old 63060 was the best cutter... have mine for 23 years... new 63060 is piece of junk

                Long lasting, worth the price
I have been using a pair of these cable cutters for the last 14-15 years SAME PAIR ! The small lever that allows you to lock them in a closed position broke off years ago, but that is the only week spot. I work in the power line industry building high voltage transmission lines. These cutters ride in a tool board exposed to sun, rain, dirt and everything else you can throw at them. As long as they get a squirt of oil occasionally, they function like new. My pair is rusty and beat up from years of use. I can only imagine how long they would last if taken care of and stored in a tool box or bag . The Klein brand has outlasted many pairs of Greenlee brand ratcheting cable cutters purchased by coworkers. The only downside to this tool is that I paid $175.00 when I purchased mine. They have come up in price since then. Still WELL worth the cost if you cut cable, stranded copper or even rope on a regular basis.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a pair of these that the spring in the handle has broken in as well as the tip of the cutting blade has snapped off only cutting copper and nobody will warranty them if you like to waste time and money on a LIFETIME warranty that isn’t worth anything id highly recommend Klein ratchet cutters for you

Have had a 63060 and need a spring
Got this cutter after 2017 and need a spring for the Quick Release Leaver but cant get Klein to respond to my emails not even sure what a complete one would look like and without it it is almost impossible to use. Hoping Klein responds this time.,
