Q:Can this go through wood as well?

Answer This Question

A:  Probably, but,it is limited to 3/16" of depth. So drilling from both sides would limit you to drilling a piece of wood 3/8" thick.

A:  The Klein Tools model # 31870 Carbide Hole Cutter is designed to cut through sheet metal up to 3/16 in. thick. A better option for wood applications is the Klein Tools 2-1/2 in. Bi-Metal Hole Saw (Model # 31940).

        Great Hole Saw!
        I have used numerous other hole saws from many different brands but this was hands down the easiest to work with. From attaching to my drill to drilling out the hole to having the right size, just great!

                    Awesome long lasting hole saw
                    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the Klein carbide hole saws for a while and they have been the best I’ve ever used. I have used all the different sizes and they are all equally impressive. I have used the 1-1/8 size hole saw the most and I have gotten well over 300 holes out of one hole saw. The bigger hole saws will not be used nearly as much as the smaller sizes so these bigger size hole saws will last for years.
