Klein Tools block and tackle is very easy to use, and a easy way to lift heavy objects into the back of my truck. Maximum lift weight is 750 lbs. Smooth operation with nylon rollers, locking cam and 25 feet of 3/8 nylon rope. Great to keep in my side by side in case I get stuck, or loading a deer. Also can be used to pull an heavy outboard motor off the transom.

The Klein model #H1802-30 block and tackle come with 25 feet of 3/8” diameter nylon rope and the entire assembly has a 750-pound maximum load rating. When the line is weaved through the four sheaves, the total block and tackle assembly measures six feet long. This Klein block and tackle assembly is very professional and is a quality tool. It will provide the user with a mechanical advantage in lifting a heavy object. It is a double metal block, double sheave (2 pully wheels) with rope assembly that comes with the Klein #258 forged flat “J” hook. The two pulley blocks are each 1 5/8” in diameter and are made of light weight galvanized steel and aluminum alloy metal. Each pulley block has two sheaves each that have a bronze bushing to smoothly rotate and to minimize friction. Each block has a 1/2” opening, spring-loaded snap hook with its nose lengthened to extend over the latch. One block also comes with a built-in snubbing hook, and when engaged, it conveniently holds the line and load stationary as well as a fixed 1/2” becket anchor hole to terminate one end of the assembly line. When the included #258 flat 2” wide “J” hook is used on the fixed the pully block and connected to an attachment point, both pullies are now automatically positioned to become parallel to the fixed attachment point. When pulling the rope down through the fixed position pulley and other pulley block is in the moveable load position, there is 4 to 1 mechanical advantage in lifting capabilities. For example, when using this assembly to lift a 500 weight and accounting for pully friction, you will only expend approximately175 pounds of energy because of the 4 to 1 mechanical advantage. When the assembly is used in reverse position with the block having the becket placed in the load position and the line being pulled up instead of down, the mechanical advantage is increase to 5 to 1 thereby making it a little bit easier to lift the weight. It should be noted that this block and tackle assembly is not an occupational protective device and therefore is not rated for and should not be used for human support. It should be also noted that Home Depot website and the Klein website both show a braided loop on the line and it is attached thru the becket on one the blocks, but they have the incorrect photo as the line comes without a loop and is not attached to the becket hole on the block. In order to have the braided loop on the line, the part number should end with “SR”. This block and tackle did not come with manufacturer’s instructions and therefore, I had to check the Internet for the proper alignment of the blocks and line. Some examples of practical uses for this block and tackle include lifting a riding lawnmower to change the cutting blade, hoisting or lowering a bucket of tools or equipment, lifting cement blocks, removing a heavy motor from a piece of equipment, etc. This is really a handy tool to have available when dealing with heavy loads in various situations! All in all, this block and tackle product is great for use by electrical workers, hunters, farmers, and the do-it-yourselfer in order to lift heavy objects by using a mechanical advantage in a quick, safe and efficient manner.

This is a great Klein block and tackle, heavy duty, comes with rope, two blocks and a large hook. The hook is perfect size to place over a 2 inch beam such as a rafter. When assemble has approximately 6 feet of range. Very nice feature on the pull block with a rope lock. After stringing the blocks I tried a knot in the end both to keep from pulling out and fraing. Very nice product that I highly recommend.

What a nice block and tackle set, be prepared you will have to string it together. Took me several attempts to get it correct. Klien really does a great job with tools, I haven't had one so nice. The hook fits perfectly over a 2 x 4 and the top block has a rope lock. After stringing I did tie knots to keep the rope from unraveling. Full range with the rope supplied is a little over five feet. I highly recommend this product.
