As long as it's between 10 and 22 gauge, and you separate the zip cord back far enough to get the cutter on the wire you want to expose, yes.

Depending on the size, I think these would cut specker wire as long as it is round wire.

No I don't think it will. It is made to strip the wire jacket off the end of a wire.

I don't see how you could use this for inline stripping. The stripping occurs by "pushing" the stripped insulation off the free end of the cable.

                                            (2)

It is excellent, but only for end-stripping, where the removed insulation has a place to go. For mid-wire connections, you can use a splice tap of the proper size, available at auto parts stores and some hardware stores. For high-current applications, it is best to cut all wires that will be spliced, strip with the tool from Home Depot that you asked about and make the splice using wire nuts or copper bug nuts. Both are available at HD. Bug nuts make the best connection for both solid and stranded wire.

Yes it will but, because the wire dont have room for the skin to stay,it will tend to get back in its original position. Solution; make the strip hold it with the pliers and put it in place on the screw.

I had a similar version of these in another brand and I did not like how they worked so I went back to using simple strippers. My mother asked me to change all her outlets/light switches out from almond to white, so I got these and really helped make things easier changing well over 50 switches! Only owned for a couple of years, but I can tell it will last a while, it's Klein after all!
