A freshly charged set of Eneloop AA batteries lasted 5 hours 18 minutes with horizontal, vertical, and plumb lasers on. When the batteries "die", the low battery light remains on, even after locking the pendulum. While this is a great reminder to check the pendulum lock, it indicates that there's some battery drain even when the unit would otherwise seem to be off. I recommend taking the batteries out after use.
I could still see the laser on an overcast day about 60-70ft.
Thank you @Klein Tools. So it can't be "dialed" or slid up and down on the magnet base once the base it mounted?
I am not sure exactly how far the horizonal like will reach, but it did show up the full length of my 30 foot long shop wall.
Klein claims an accuracy of 3/32" at 33 feet, but I checked mine and it's accurate to 1/32" at 33 feet.
Essentially, yes. Align the down plumb dot on a spot on the floor, and the up plumb dot will mark the spot directly above on the ceiling.
No, it is not. The lasers will only operate with the pendulum unlocked.
On a slightly overcast day you can see the green level lines pretty well from about 15 feet away. When you move past 16 to 20 feet it gets fainter but it can still be seen from about 60-70 feet. Please again note that my observations were based on usage during an partly cloudy day. I did my research before buying this product and glad this is the one I selected. My usage has been limited to a deck project, installing corner boards on a shed and hanging pictures. Overall a very useful and reliable product.
This is a question best directed to the manufacturer!!
