Klein’s non-vented full brim class E hard hat is a winner/
Klein’s non-vented full brim class E hard hat is a winner. This lightweight hat is very comfortable, with washable and adjustable sweatband and top pad. In fact, if you wet and shake dry then re-install, they provide hours of cooling comfort. No chin strap is required as the rotating ratcheted adjustment knob provides an easy method to secure the hat, even wearing gloves. Its range of movement allows for pony tails and bandanna tie knots - nice they thought of this reality for many guys. The KARBN pattern is sharp looking. The helmet has connections for hearing protection, face shields, and more. The included LED front or rear mounted light is great, giving 3 lighting options (front, side, or full angle). The light angles up and down as well. It is rechargeable, came charged, and includes a USB charging cable. Having had other hard hats, this one seems to give a bit more room above your head for increased airflow. (There is a vented version.) The specs are listed on the webpage. This is another great Klein product, that exceeds your expectations, provides excellent safety, and just looks good.

Great helmet, worked well.
This helmet worked well for my needs. One occassion that I used it for was while I was reinforcing the the structure for a basement stairwell. I had to work underneath the stairs in dark spots and the headlamp came in handy. There were a few times when I bumped into the stringer, and even though I did not bump into them very hard, I was glad that I had my helmet. One thing that I would like improved, is the same issue with most helmets. I would like something to absorb the sound, when the helmet is struck, as the sound of the hard plastic being struck can ring your ears.
The headlamp worked well, I have another klein headlamp and this one worked better as this one operates at a different frequency so if you needed to take pictures you will not see horizontal bars in your image.
Another issue is the lamp does not have a dedicated power switch. The power button and mode selector are the same button. When I want to shut off the light, I just want to be able to do it with one press of the button.

Well worth it
While searching for a hard hat which was comfortable and functionable which could be worn all day long. In turn I purchased one of your helmets which met the challenge and have been wearing it ever since.
After a week the rest of my crew followed suite with different various versions of Klien hard hats, after a month the safety department noticed everyone in my crew was wearing their hard hats all the time. Our safety lead borrowed one of our hard hats for a day the next week the whole crew was sporting Kein Hard hats.
Working in the power generation field we are exposed to long periods of extreme noisy environments where hearing protections is a must. Is there a pair of hearing protection which work well with your full brim hard hats. If not a noise cancelling hearing protection would be perfect, while working in a noisy environment this would making hearing noises which could lead to increased production by being able to hear while trouble shooting.
One other benefit from integrated hearing protection would offer is another way of the hard hat to securing to the persons head while working. Numerous various combinations of hearing protection have been tried without a suitable solution.
The attached light is a game changer not only is it functional but has the perfect battery life for a day of work.

Buy the hat and light separately.
If you purchase the hat and light separately you get the newer light that is USB-C and has a magnet which makes it more useful. I had purchased this for myself, then purchased a separate light and blue hard hat for my son. His light was the newer style and actually better. Also physically smaller light with same specs and USB-C.
