Easy to join up to 3 wires, even of different sizes. I used these to fix invisible fence dog wire. The package says 19-26 gage, but it fit an 18 gage thermostat wire with a little extra room. They attach easily, and crimp-on permanently. Very easy to apply, and sure beats stripping wires, twisting and covering with a wire nut, which is not as waterproof as these seem to be for my dog fence buried wire. One small plus: the package is only taped together, so you don’t have to cut a bunch of welded plastic to get the box open, and you can reseal it to hang on your pegboard for the next time.

These are excellent connectors, especially for places that are hard to access. I use them extensively under my model train layout where there large number of wires that need to be connected, and soldering wires together from below has never sounded appealing to me.
These connectors connect three wires together. They can each vary in size from 26 AWG up to 19 AWG.
These types of connectors are so easy to use. Simple insert the end of the wires to be connected into the product and squeeze it closed with a pair of pliers. There is no need to strip the wires first. No soldering required either
Each button connector is about ¾” long.
One side is transparent, this enables one to confirm that the three wires are fully inserted before closing the connector. Once closed it cannot be opened again, you have to cut the wires off and use another one.
They contain some sort of gel that prevents moisture from getting in and corroding the connection. When the button is closed with the pliers, it squeezes the gel out to cover area where the wires enter.
The box they come in can be closed again, making it a handy storage container even after opening.

I just Got my hands on these new Klein Tool connectors . And wow . With today's new safety lights rgb (red,green,blue) led light . The old Style butt connectors really don't work. I am replacing all my butt connectors on my safety lights. These new IDC connectors have electrical Greece already in them. And there's no specialty tool to use these.. All you need is a pair of long nose pliers what the side cutter . And You don't need to strip the wire. Take a looknat the pictures and you can see these connector is the way way to go. And i hope i add the correct comment with the picture.

Klein Tools Brand, UR IDC Connector for UR 19-26 AWG look and work just like other premium brand UR connectors. When a long term, professional splice or connection is needed to join wiring in telephone, communication system and security system wiring, these UR connects cannot be beat for ease of installation and trouble-free service for the life of the connection. To use these connectors, simply cut the wire to be spliced and insert it into the UR connector before closing it with regular pliers. There is no need to strip the insulation in most all cases of use. I used these quality Klein UR connectors supplied by Klein Tools to eliminate an old unused telephone receptacle in my garage. The house was built in the 70’s and the garage was built with three telephone outlets, one for each car. Today, we still use a landline with cordless phones now.

The Klein UR IDC Connector is the only part you will need to splice low voltage phone, speaker or door bell wire. They are extremely well made and will splice any wire from 26awg to a 19awg. The terminals are rated for up to three (3) wires. They are great when you to need to add or repair a line. Mositure resistant as well. I have been using these connectors for as long as I can recall and I have never had an issue or call back. Keep in mind these are not for use on data (CAT 5, or 6) cables. Well made product. Highly recommend.

These are great little electrical connectors by Klein that can be used as a cap to terminate a single wire or as a butt splice to connect 2 or 3 wires together. The wire range is 19-26 AWG, stranded and solid. To use simply insert each wire, without stripping off the insulation, into a wire inlet hole in the connector body until it bottoms out. The connectors are clear so that you can easily see when the wire is fully inserted. Then with any kind of pliers, I use a Klein linesman pliers, squeeze the red button firmly into connector body until it is flush. There is a metal piece inside the connector that will pierce the insulation without cutting through the wire thereby making a secure and permanent connection. I use these to connect telephone wires, alarm system wires, and wires when making up under cabinet LED lighting strips. These are so much easier and neater looking than tiny wire nuts.
