Q:Will this flapper work in a Glacier Bay toilet ?

Answer This Question

A:  Let us help! Are you able to contact our Technical Support team? We would like to learn more about your Glacier Bay toilet and quickly identify a solution. Glacier bay toilets use both 2" and 3" flappers and we would like to ensure we are recommending the correct replacement. Please call 262-763-2434 or email Sales@Lavelle.com. We are available Monday through Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm CST.

A:  I can't say from experience with Glacier Bay toilets, but I've used these on multiple brands of toilets without difficulty. As long as your toilet uses a flapper (some newer Glacier Bay models don't use flappers, in my experience), this one should work.

A:  I honestly do not know - perhaps you can contact Korky and they can shed some light on the matter. My experience is if you have a specialty toilet with a unique design (such as many of the Kohler toilets), then the generic flappers will not work or they will not work well.

Q:Will these fit my rialto 3386 one piece toilet.

        Answer This Question

A:  Unfortunately, the Korky Plus is not compatible with your tank. Kohler one-piece toilets have unique flushing systems and require specialty flappers. If the flapper in your toilet hinges on to the back of the flush valve overflow tube, the correct replacement is Korky p/n 2011BP. If your flapper attaches to pegs on the sides of the flush valve and has what looks like a shark fin on the top of it, then you need Korky p/n 2012BP. If you would like, please contact us at 800-528-3553 or email us at sales@lavelle.com and we can walk you through this in more detail. We are available Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM CST. We can give you further guidance on finding the flapper that fits.

A:  Product which I brought recently, has came back to replacement in only few days as it started melting in the water itself. Not sure, is it due to water hardness in the area or defective material. :(

          by|Nov 12, 2020

A:  Rick, I'm not sure if they fit this exact model, but these are pretty standard. I'd be very surprised if they didn't. Korky also makes a more adaptable model that can be adjusted to any toilet.

A:  I took my flapper off and brought it to the store. Glad I did, I had no idea there were so many types of flappers. A store associate helped me find the right size.

A:  Take off the tank cover and watch what is happening. There are basically only two components -- the valve/float assembly and the flapper.

            by|May 5, 2023

A:  I would have to guess what your problem is? the length of the chain is not long enough for the flush valve to open all the way, as far as the hiss noise. I believe it has to be the water intake valve.

            by|May 5, 2023

A:  Try shortening the chain. You can do that by moving the clip a few lengths

            by|May 5, 2023

A:  Let us help you get that fixed. A quick adjustment should resolve your issue of having to hold down the handle. Are you able to contact our customer service team? We would like to learn more about your toilet and identify a solution. The hissing noise you hear from your fill valve may be another issue, unrelated to your flapper. Please dial 1-800-528-3553 or email us at sales@lavelle.com. We are available Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM CST. Your tank flappers are backed by a 5 year warranty and we want to ensure your 100% satisfaction.

              by|May 5, 2023

A:  It could be that the length of the chain between the flush handle lever and the toilet tank flapper valve isn't the right length, possibly not allowing enough of the water in the toilet tank to drain into the toilet. Try adjusting that and see if that solves the problem. If you have more than 2 toilets, compare the configurations of one that works properly and the other 2 that don't to see if you can adjust them to solve the problem. If that doesn't work you probably have to call a plumber.

What a great buy. I needed three toilet flappers for my three restrooms. Toilets were making a gargling sound every 30 minutes that was keeping me awake. There were other flappers at 2 times the price, but these were a no brainer of a buy. They are easy to install, took about 5 minutes. it's been two weeks with no more gargling sound and needles to say NO more water down the toilet $$.

Three pack is best value. Simple to install in seconds. I replaced both in the home, with a spare left. Works perfectly, my home was built in 1998 with original plumbing, so the two inch works for that time period. Simply slip off the old and slip the new one on. Done. Metal chain included. .

This is a great product it meets all my spectations. The other ones I had bought with a dial to save water the chain was getting stuck and preventing the flapper from falling. This happen on all three toilets. I’ve had to replace all I had just bought two months because it kept getting stuck. I would recomend it.

Response from Korky Toilet GeniusOct 13, 2017
You discovered there are some differences in flush valve systems and that toilets sizes can vary. An easy reference is to look at the size of the flush valve drain opening in the bottom of the tank. If it’s about the size of an orange or baseball, you need a 2 inch seal. If it looks more like the size of a grapefruit or softball, you need a jumbo 3 inch seal. Let us help you get that fixed! Would you be willing to contact our customer service team? Flappers That Flap
These standard toilet flappers were a great value. It took about 3 minutes to change out all the flappers in the house. Now we don't have annoying running toilets.

                  Solved the problem!
I had 3 toilets that had various degrees of flushing capability. Used the Korky flappers to replace them all. Now, everyone of them is working just fine. Who knew that replacing a flapper would fix each toilet. It was way cheaper than calling a plumber. Highly recommend this product !
