Product Overview

Protect your work and bring air bubbles out of applications with this pair of Gunite Spiked Shoes. Thirteen 1-1/2 in. steel spikes (overall length) are precisely positioned around the hard plastic base for balance when walking on epoxy and gunite materials. The back of each shoe has a stop to prevent work boots from moving around the shoe. Each shoe is equipped with two adjustable nylon straps that fit around the work boot. Plastic clasps secure straps to minimize loosening that occurs with hook and loop closures. The overall length of shoe is 12 in. Use with work boots for safety. One size fits most.

If you buy these, make sure to tighten all the nuts on the bottom, then use some epoxy on the threads to ensure they don’t come loose. I didn’t know that when I laid down epoxy on my garage floor and five minutes into the job the nuts started coming loose and falling off. It was a mess.

Extremely poorly made. Couldn't get tight enough on my boots. Hard to keep balance on them. Noticed small nuts in my epoxy as I was rolling it on. The nuts were coming off the spikes underneath the shoe. Messed up my epoxy job in a few areas. My suggestion would be to put lock washers under the nuts to keep them from coming loose or off completely.

Warning: before using these, make sure that you tighten every bolt. I failed to do that and about HALF of the nuts came off during my first use. Once I tightened them, they worked OK.

These function well and are a very good value. Good adjustability - even fit my smallish size shoes. As others noted, the nuts holding the spikes have to be tightened occasionally, especially after first use, but that is easily accomplished.

The shoes work fine 90% of the time, but the nuts on the spikes have a tendency to unscrew themselves. This was a minor inconvenience until I put a cleat coat over a painted concrete floor and realized there is a nut staring up at me from underneath. Totally ruined the project in that room and added hours more work.
