Unfilled knots
The door had multiple large unfilled knots including on the astragal that could not be filled due to carving on the astragal. We returned it and ordered a different type.

The doors were really nice. The framing and packaging were very poor. The screws that they put in...
The doors were really nice. The framing and packaging were very poor.
The screws that they put in the frame to hold the doors closed were so far off center that the doors opened in shipping
and broke chunks off the top of the door. The frame was out of square and difficult to work with.
Had to do a lot of repair, looked good after stain and install. see the attached.

Plastic was put on UNDER the crossbars and the plastic will not come off!
These stained beautifully. We left the plastic protection on the glass while staining and clear coating. Then, I went to take off the plastic from the glass... TERRIBLE! The plastic will not come out from under the wood crossbars. There are tiny pieces of clear plastic sticking out from under the wood and I’ve been working on one side of one door for over an hour. I will NEVER be able to get all the plastic off. The plastic was put around the glass and then the wood crossbars went over it. This is insane. I’ve spent hours on these doors and trying to get in my new house for the appraisal and now this. This is ridiculous. Do not buy these with glass in them.

We are sorry that you are struggling to remove the plastic. We recommend using a razor blade around the crossbars. It makes it very easy to come off.

Order without stain!
Like many other reviewers, we ordered put-stained doors. What a mess! Stain was everywhere! The plastic on the glass was under the divides and impossible to remove. They send you a cute video telling you how easy it is to remove the plastic. Why don’t they remove the plastic before sending, after staining, and simply rewrap the entire door, if it’s so easy to remove?! If I order stained doors, I shouldn’t have to spend several hours cleaning stain off the glass!

You are better off getting the unfinished version
The shipping and packaging was fine and it came with plastic film on both sides of every window, which I would think was to protect the windows from paint or scratch. However when we removed the plastic film there was stain dripping on every single window. I don't even know how they managed to get it under the plastic film, maybe if they just dipped the whole door in stain. Anyway we spent another 2-3 hours just scratching the stains off and washing the windows.
