Q:I live in an old remodeled 1972 Lanier mobile home. The back door is a replaced mobile home door. Can I use this type of deadbolt on the door or does it have to be a complete metal mobile home door deadbolt??

Great product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kwikset 660 deadbolt, Keyed one side ,featuring Smartkey security in Satin Nickel featuring Microban is a great product. I absolutely love the satin nickel finish! The Microban feature is such a great idea! It is 99.9% cleaner than the typical lock. I had never heard of a smart key before. It’s a lock that you can rekey yourself in seconds. I highly recommend this product!

Easy Installation

I love the easy smart key, you can easily rekey to fit an existing key you already have so you won't have multiple keys to unlock your doors. Nice satin nickel finish and the lock glides smoothly.

Probably would work better on a newer door

Perfect upgrade

Easy to install and very secure
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my existing dead bolt with this one because my key always sticks on the old one. It was so easy to install and the directions were easy to follow. It matches my lock perfectly and seems to be more secure then the dead bolt I had before. The re-key option is great and also really easy to do.

Not an influenster
One I figure this product out, I’m sure its good. Problem is and what nobody will tell you. If you follow the written directions and somehow turn the key incorrectly. You will have no working keys and a paperweight. I’ve tried two and continue to have issues.

It sounds like the key cylinder is not reading your key correctly. We recommend following the cylinder recovery instructions in the link below. If you can get the key to turn, you can then re-key the cylinder with the SmartKey tool to the same key.
