Q:I don't see the dimensions of the distance between the center of the handle to the bottom where it attaches to the door.

Q:For the the lever door handle can the handle extend to the left or right? In the picture is shows handle extends to the right can the lever be put on so extends to the left instead? My exterior door is right handed inswing looking from the exterior.

This Kwikset Amador Matte Black Entry Door Handleset, is beautiful and is made of excellent quality, this entry door handle set has a modern design, I like that this entry door handle set features smart key security, this door handle set comes with two keys, the installation went very smoothly, I just needed a screwdriver to install the entry door handle set, this package includes all the hardware.

Sleek, Modern Touch to Entry Door
When I saw this product up for review, I knew exactly where it was needed. We have a home in Florida and the front door hardware has corroded due to the salt air. (see pics) We look forward to installing this beautiful entry door hardware the next time we visit. It is going to refresh and renew the entrance to our home. Of course, we will re-paint the front door. Kwikset is a superior company and known for ease of installation, re-keying to match other doors and security. The slim square low profile and matte black finish will highlight our trim and brick. We have used Kwikset before but not on an entry door. The instructions are easy to follow but we will thoroughly read. There is a template included and all the hardware. The reason re-keying is important, lost keys, recently moved, loaned keys not returned, want to use a different key for each door. Fits all standard doors. one tool installation. I will re-post pictures. once we install. I'm very excited about this product, I have wanted to do this for a long time and upgrade the entry door and the security it will provide. Highly recommend, add a sleek, modern touch to your home!

Had to chisel out for plate thickness
Overall this handle/lock set looks great but I have to give it 1 star because of the frustrating installation. Both lock sets had extra brass fittings on the back side of the plate, which made them not fit in the pre-cut area on our new door. It took a ton of time to chisel out the areas which should not have been necessary. Also, the pin that the bottom screw screwed into, which had a bulbous head, was the wrong color! I am going to have to paint it to match the door knobs. Very disappointed.
