How many inches it from the handle to the backplate?
The handle has a projection of 1 3/16" and a length of 4 1/4".
We purchased the following door handle. I noticed aged installed the handle curve is upside down. How do we fix it so handle curve is a o er curve. Kwikset - Balboa Venetian Bronze Keyed Entry Door Handle featuring SmartKey Security and Microban Technol
The handle is reversible, so it can be installed in either direction. To fix the curve orientation, you’ll simply need to follow these steps: 1. Loosen the set screw in the chassis. 2. Slide the handle off the chassis. 3. Flip or reposition the lever to the desired direction. 4. Reinstall it according to the installation instructions. This allows you to change the curve so it faces the correct way without needing a new handle.
Are the these handle reversible
Yes, the handles are reversible and can be installed on both right-handed and left-handed doors.

Can these locks be master keyed
This model comes with the SmartKey technology that allows you to rekey the lock to another Kwikset key but does not have the Master key feature.
How are jammed keys fixed - key will not turn to unlock door when door is locked from inside. A REAL HAZARD. Moving key in and our up & down when twisting key clockwise does not fix problem. Imagine rescuing someone when the key will not unlock door.

To “rekey” this with the smart key tool do I have to purchase another key? Or can I use the key that cane with it and switch when needed ? Is this easy to install?
The Smartkey technology allows rekeying the lock at any time to the other Kwikset key but is not compatible with other brands. Easily installs in minutes with just a screwdriver
We lost the key as soon as this was installed. How can we order a new key for it?
This model comes with a set of two keys. If the keys are lost, you can have another Kwikset keys randomly cut. Take the cylinder out of the unit and have the lock department at your local home improvement store use the resetting cradle to read the newly cut key to your lock.
