Finish coming off within 5 months
We loved the look of these and purchased a few sets for our entry doors in July. They did make our doors look much more modern, and were relatively easy to install. Fast forward to less than 5 months later, and the finish is completely coming off of one of them! I would've expected a much more durable product from kwikset.

Great Look!
Changed all our door hardware over to these as we love the strong and modern look they offer. Personally, I like the larger backset these have as well as the wider handle. They have a great feel and function very smoothly. It was a great purchase!

I replaced my outside door round knob lock set that leads to my porch with the Kwikset Halifax polished chrome square keyed entry door lever featuring smart key security. The wind blows the door so it can be difficult to grasp the door and close it. The door lever on this lock set makes it easier plus this set has a nice chrome finish to handle the harsh salt air and weather. The lock set was easy to install with only a Phillips screw driver. All the needed parts are included and the instructions are easy to follow.

First, let me say that I have always been happy with Kwikset products and this one is no exceptio...
First, let me say that I have always been happy with Kwikset products and this one is no exception.
I like the clean, square lines and the finish is nice without being "showy".
The first thing you notice about this locking door handle is the heft; it is obviously made of good, dense, quality materials and this is uncommon today in many products. The instructions were easy to understand but, quite honestly, I didn't bother following them- it's a door handle and is a real no-brainer, if you have any experience.
If you're replacing an existing doorknob or handle, the install is very straight forward. My install took (literally) about 6 minutes and this included removing the existing knob.
This is the second Halifax entry lever I have installed and the original one has been in place for about a year and I've had no problems, whatsoever.
