Premis is a touchscreen smart lock that works with Apple HomeKit. It is a 1-touch locking motorized deadbolt. You can enter your home with the convenience of keyless entry using Siri voice commands, the Premis App or with your personalized code. It features patented SecureScreen technology to prevent code detection from fingerprints on the touchscreen. Premis is easy to install, program and use and operates on 4 AA batteries. This single cylinder deadbolt can be locked or unlocked by using the keypad or key from the outside as well as the turn button from the inside. The Venetian Bronze finish is hand-rubbed to reveal unique bronze highlights and provides a rich and warm complement to the product's style.

I purchased this deadbolt when I purchased new entry doors...
I purchased this deadbolt when I purchased new entry doors front and back. When I installed the deadbolt it would not successfully completed the “handing process” and would just indicate that it was jammed on my iPhone with the Premis app. Even though it indicated jammed the bolt was extending and retracting. Tried the email route with Kwikset but got no response. After a week of waiting I called their help line and after a couple hours of following instructions it was determined that they would replace the set under warranty. I like this set when it’s working and in fact ordered one for my back door as well.

Disregard precious review
Disregard the previous review. Product works perfectly fine and the description adequately informs shoppers of any limitations. Previous review must’ve been from some disgruntled person who lacks the ability to read past the subject line and has limited disposable income to purchase a quality Apple product.

The product is not as advertised. If you don't notice the "Fine Print". U get stuck with a hand...
The product is not as advertised. If you don't notice the "Fine Print". U get stuck with a handset that only responds to Apple. Unit works fine just can't be used as planned. Who uses Apple products past the age of 12??
