Great but…
Seems to be working fine but was surprised to find a large dent in the lower back case. Outside shipping box wasn’t damaged.

Easy and reliable
Got this in August after our 9 year old Dehumidifier died (lost its refrigerant charge) Saw many brands and after doing the research determined this might be the best replacement of our 8 year old dehumidifier. It arrived 3 days later and it weighs significantly less than the old one. After it was plugged in and turned on within 3 minutes it was condensating and filled the bucket in 5 hours. So it really works and it fills twice a day. It’s quiet in operation and it’s very effective at humidity removal.

The dehumidifier works however the water buckets cracks easily. I have ordered a new water bucket but its taking a very long time to arrive.

Brand New?
Picked this up around noon. Let the box sit upright for a few hours because I've heard that can be good for systems that have refrigerant in them.
Finally took it out of the box noticed the outside was a little grimy dusted it off. I opened the reservoir and the picture below speaks for itself .
this was not an open box or refurbished item and even if it was I would still be appalled.

This unit replaced a Frigidaire dehumidifier with similar specs which appeared to have reached the end of its service life after about 20 months. So far, after 3 1/2 weeks in our basement, this LG has more than met expectations. It absorbs humidity at least as efficiently, appears to be more solidly built, is more attractive (though heavier), runs more quietly, and has neither stalled nor presented any error messages. The air pumped out by the unit does not noticeably warm the room.
We're using it only with a hose and so can't comment on performance with the built-in tank. We find that the height of the drain plug makes it easy for gravity to bring the water down through the hose and into the drain.
Overall we're delighted with the LG's performance.

Haven’t had it that long but so far it’s great. We have a smaller LG unit as well that just keeps going so when it came time to replace our newer Frigidaire we decided to get another LG. For a dehumidifier it is quiet and very effective. Our basement feels great now!

I bought this after losing our AC and our open...
I bought this after losing our AC and our open windows caused the humidity to skyrocket. I chose LG over GE strictly because of how sleek it looks. Fits right into our modern home. I setup the dehumidifier upstairs first where the humidity was in the 70s for some rooms. It ran for a few hours and I emptied it before bed. I let it run overnight and the next morning it was full and humidity was down to 50. It’s since been downstairs and our humidity is kept at 45-50. It’s a little on the loud side but not bad. I’d compare the noise level to a window unit AC and we turn it off while watching TV. I plan on moving it to the basement soon with the continuous drain attachment. So far it’s been the perfect dehumidifier.

Live in a 800 square foot apartment in a basement. This unit was perfect for it. Within the hour it was less muggy and the room even felt cooler. Easy to use and blends into the background. Easy decision, get this one. Don’t look further. My cat loves it too.
