This product is installed with the grooves oriented in a vertical direction. Panel comes full primed. Hardie Plank is a fiber cement panel, long and narrow, and is designed to be installed in a horizontal orientation. You would need to decide which is better in your case.

We've wrapped 2 sheds in 3 yrs with this product! It's strong durable & we like how it's handling the elements in the mountains over these last 3 years. No chipping no flaking no delaminating & it anchors well to studs. The color also looks as good as the day it went up! It was a good investment. I've also noticed on my 60 yr old house there's a small gable section of it as well painted many times but still solid!!
