Product Overview

LUBANN barn doors bring warmness of color and richness of genuine rustic wood characters to American homes. Wood products are valued largely based on wood species used in those products. What separate alder wood barn doors from barn doors of pine wood or other wood? Warm color and rustic look. LUBANN barn doors are constructed of high quality American knotty alder. Alder wood features beautiful wood grains and rustic knots, characters make each LUBANN barn door aesthetically unique and rich of natural wood beauty. Besides, hardwood alder wood is more durable and stable than pine wood, and easy to be stained. Alder wood used in LUBANN barn doors are milled in the US and certified by the National Hardwood Lumber Association. We take pride in preserving the natural rustic wood look and being environmental friendly when making LUBANN barn doors. No adhesive (a major source of harmful formaldehyde in engineered wood and imported wood products) is used in the wood. You are not only buying a barn door from us but also bringing home a piece of nature artwork. We proudly make LUBANN barn doors in the US and offer most popular American farmhouse styles and many size options. Each door is hand-built and unique piece.
  • Unique rustic hand-built door slab fully of natural characters, 100% solid hardwood, no MDF, no engineered wood
  • Accommodating for a small space and stylish bi-parting design
  • Real rustic American farmhouse style on both front and back sides
  • Choose a door/doors width at least 2 in. wider than the opening
  • Barn doors sizes are in nominal dimensions (+/- 3/16")
  • Doors are 1-1/2 in. thick with overlay boards
  • 2-doors can be used as either bi-parting or bypass double doors
  • Finish your door with your own favorite wood stain, or simply seal the door slab with 2 coats of a clear sealant or varnish
  • Hardware kits are in matte black finish
  • Classic bent strap sliding hardware set, 12" handle pull (finger pull on the other side) and wall-mounted floor guide with 8 different setup modes
  • A tip for choosing door size: provided with enough wall space to install a track as long as twice a door width, choose a wider door covering the same opening will provide more overlaps around the opening therefore more privacy

Do they come in white also?

Asked by Pete February 1, 2021

Answer

Hi, the doors are constructed of unfinished alder wood and need to be finished. It is up to a customer to decide what color or wood stain to use for the doors. Thank you for your question.

I would like to attach the doors together, to make one extra large door. Is this possible with th...

Will this work on a doorway with molding ?

Asked by Mrssfuller December 29, 2020

Answer

It is doable. A common way is to use a header board to get more clearance off the wall for the barn doors. Thank you for your question.

I want my doors to meet and lock in the middle. Do you have recommendations to make that work? A...

I wouldn’t recommend them for out door use as they are likely to have a small gap on each side.

How long is the top rail? Thank you!

The rail is 10FT as a default. But we can accomodate a special request for a specific length as well. Thank you for the question.

Are the wheels metal or polymer "hush" type?

The wheels for the rollers are made of PVC. Thank you.

Will these work for a 46.75” wide opening or do I really need 2” overlap on each door which would...

Asked by Joe October 10, 2020

Answer

Hi Joe, you don't have to have 2" overlap. Barn doors offer style and look but not much protection of privacy. You will have to live with a seam in the middle of the opening when you think of bi-parting doors and a smaller than desired overlap around the opening may not be so big a concern.

I am looking to install these doors in a basement with a 92 inch ceiling. I was able to figure o...

Answer

Hello, thank you for reaching out. Yes, we can make 82" tall doors for your customization order. Please contact Homedepot customer support to get hold us and let us know your order information, so we will make the custom doors for your order. In the meantime, the rollers need about 5-1/2" clearance from the top of the door to the ceiling. The 92" ceiling should work also. Thank you again.

Doors were beautiful. However I wish they were pre drilled. I missed the mark by 1/8” and they are crooked. I have to take them down and router out the holes so I can adjust
