A: That may depend if the clock is located in the same room as where the person is when the alarm sounds. It does have a loud alarm and will noticeably be louder if in quiet space. This clock features an ascending (or, crescendo) alarm sound so starts with a single beep, then double beep, then faster for 2 minutes or until someone presses snooze to silence for 10 minutes, or pressing any other button to turn off the alarm until the next day.
A: I did not get an adapter with mine. It works great with the batteries.
A: The cord looks like it’s about is about 36” (3ft)
A: The cord is 72” or 6’ not including the actual plugs on each end. I use batteries only and they last a long time - maybe a couple years.

A: 6ft cord length
A: Yes. The clock can be set to 7 different US time zones. Time zone selection is in the basic settings menu. Press and hold the MODE button for 3 seconds to enter the settings menu. Use the + or - button to adjust and MODE to confirm and move on to the next setting. Time zone is the 4th area in the setting order.

A: it wont stay set to cst and changes to military's time
A: Yes, it comes with a power cord. I also put the batteries in it in case the power goes out.
A: Yes it does. Also your assessment is right on the money. Batteries will also hold the time if power goes out.
A: Yes it comes with a power cord, the batteries are for power outages so you don't lose your settings.
A: Needs power cord, which is supplied, for the back light to stay on.
A: The AC power adapter is included with the clock. If the power cord is used, the batteries serve as a backup in the event of a power outage.
